Black Sheep: In A Garda da Vida has to be the most godawful piece of crap music ever foisted on mankind.
I'm pretty sure that honour is still held by Billy Ray Cyrus with Achy Breaky Heart..

how many descriptions of god or angels reflect on old civilization?
i mean, the angels using swords?
wouldn't almighty have something better to arm them with?
Cold Steel: Why is he so bloodthirsty? He wasn't.
Ahhh.. so he sent bears to slaughter a bunch of bad-mannered children out of the goodness of his heart.. and here I was thinking it was because he was an evil, short-tempered schizophrenic megalomaniac... my mistake..
and start buying the trash mags!.
seriously...these people drive my customers, and that drive makes them buy from me!.
so as a hat block maker i have to always know what these people and the stars are wearing on their heads because milliners all over will want to make copies.. not spamming ya... just think its really funny that a middle aged guy has to follow the fashion setter royals!.
The ones I find most fascinating are the blocks for hats where the opening is smaller than the top of the hat.. the block has to be cunningly designed so it can be dismantled whilst inside the hat, so the individual sections can be removed from the finished hat, one piece at a time.. some are incredibly ingenious.. (the top-hat in the pic above, for example.. look closely and you can see it's made of a number of separate, detachable parts)

Aussie's business is making and repairing the wooden blocks (and other specialised equipment) that milliners (hat-makers) use to make hats.. he doesn't actually make the hats themselves.. as for how he got into it, it's our father's retirement hobby/business.. it's grown to the point that Dad can't do it all on his own, so Oz has kinda partially inherited it..
A few examples (from dozens of designs)
i got a copy of the recent kingdom ministry the other day and it reminded me of something in the book the orwellian world of jehovha's witnesses by heather and garry botting.
it's on the front page of the december issue of the km, they have a heading called "not 'alternative' witnessing" where they explain that the term is no longer considered appropriate and "public" witnessing should be used instead.. in the orwellian world of jehovah's witnesses the bottings discuss the importance of the particular language jws use to set themselves apart from other people.
they redefine common words to give them a particular slant, such as "brother", "sister", "literature" and so on.
Is that the same thing as what we used to call "incidental witnessing" back when I was in?
this thread could be a saver!.
Well, I just now found out the worst thing..
That I wasn't in slipnslidemaster's congregation!
i have been out for a long time.
but, i remember "overcoming objections" was a big part of developing the jw mindset and was a regular drill at the tms.
is that term still part of the jw lexicon?.
In my day (both sides of '75) it was called "overcoming objections".. never was any good at it.. outside of the carefully scripted TMS sessions, that is..
i found this to be hilarious and cute.
this just made my whole day when i saw it this morning.
