If it was in Brooklyn, probably because the majority of members were Brooklyn bethelites, they shut down brooklyn, sell it, and they all go home, so nobody left in the congregation.

I just noticed what faithfulwitness copied, "
We believe that Jesus is the key to salvation, that “ there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved. ”—Acts 4:12. "
That is interesting because JW's always say, "those who call upon the name of Jehovah will be saved". They never call on the name of Jesus.

Why would any of you actually stay at one through their list, etc, getting them referral money? You can get cheaper hotel rates by booking yourself, especially if you use websites like priceline, hotwire, etc.

You can sign the petition but change your name a little bit, a little of first or last name, etc, or city, for those worried full name and true city may be too risky for them.

2013 Publisher Statistics now available from 2014 Yearbook.
by jwfacts inthe 2014 yearbook is out, and i have scanned the publisher figures into a more readable format at 2013 service year report.
i have updated some of the graphs at http://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/statistics.php and will do the rest tonight.
there are no real surprises, with very similar results as during the last couple of years.

The reason for the average increasing in the late 90's is because of one new variable. The internet.
Prior to the late 90's, there was only the library and word of mouth. Now many who get knocked on their door can research JW's and see all the red flags and not continue whereas previously they bait and switch may have worked.

Do You Own A Firearm? Would You??
by minimus in2013 was a record breaking year for firearm purchases.
2014 is supposed to be a record breaker for ammunition.. do you own a firearm?
but i support that right for others---if they are qualified..

I would probably get an alternative means of protection.
Even if a firearm may help in protection against a criminal, you are much much much more likely to die or commit suicide by owning a firearm. Also accidents/etc w/ family members.

It's riddled with lies.
Here are a few, "Are you an American sect?" -
All of our teachings are based on the Bible, not on the writings of some religious leader in the United States.—1 Thessalonians 2:13.
We follow Jesus Christ, not any human leader.—Matthew 23:8-10.
"Are Jehovah's Witnesses a cult?"
Some think of a cult as being a dangerous religious sect with a human leader. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not look to any human as their leader. Rather, we adhere to the standard that Jesus set for his followers when he stated: “Your Leader is one, the Christ.”—Matthew 23:10.
"Do you feel you are the only people that will be saved?" - (this one they lie and really twist to try to keep w/ their 'no' answer)
No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “ there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. ” ( Acts 24:15 ) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it’s not our job to judge who will or won’t be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus’ hands.— John 5:22,27 .
"Do you shun former members of your religion"
Those who were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses but no longer preach to others, perhaps even drifting away from association with fellow believers, are not shunned. In fact, we reach out to them and try to rekindle their spiritual interest.'
(don't you like how they try to twist that as well? Yet if you mention that to active jw's, they will say that is talking about inactive not disassociated or former. Yet that answer is for those who aren't JW's and familar with terms, so they are twisting and lying, trying to make it appear that former members aren't shunned)
There are more, but the FAQ's lies can be used to maybe help waken or to mention as concerns for those who are fading/etc. Why are they being deceptive, lying, etc.
