Is cremation proper for Christians?
The Scriptures do not present any basic objection to the practice of cremation.
There are Biblical accounts relating that the bodies or bones of dead people were burned. (Josh. 7:25; 2 Chron. 34:4, 5) This may have indicated that those people did not seem to merit a decent burial............Then, whether the body of a deceased person is to be cremated or not is a personal or family decision.
My comment: So they acknowledge that in the bible burned people are generally bad or it's a bad thing. They don't mention a single thing about the 'origins' of the practice. They also don't mention what other christian religions say about the matter. I wonder why??? Well if you do some research, cremation was a PAGAN practice. Christians including catholics believed in a physical resurrection and the burning of the body was a rejection of the bodily resurrection hope. Cremation was looked upon as being so bad that some buried people would be dug up and then cremated and ashes scattered.
Now why is it that the bible speaks about it in a negative light and it has pagan origins yet it's a personal choice, yet because birthdays talked about in bad sense and possible pagan origins it's a DFing matter?

Whenever anybody, including elders asks about you reading apostate material, here is how I responded and nobody could say anything bad about it.
I have only read the societies own literature and the bible. On the internet there are many sources and archives so since I couldn't find the older WT literature in the KH library, thankfully there are scanned archives so anything I read is just the WT and the bible with nobody elses input.
So let me ask, is the societies own literature apostate? Is the bible apostate?

"Something will happen that has never happened in theocratic history"
That statement combined w/ the complaints about empty hotel bookings, the GB would spread a rumor like that hoping to trick everybody into going to find out what will happen.
Too bad it's already leaked what the huge announcement is going to be!
Are you ready for the BIG thing that has never happened!?!?!?
"Brothers and Sisters, the faithful and discreet slave has an annoucement to make. We encourage everybody to get out your notepads and turn on your recording devices for this historical moment! The faithful and discreet slave has received NEW LIGHT from God himself! The spirit direction has revealed that 1 paper towel after washing ones hands is not enough. From this day onwards everybody will be allowed to use two sheets instead of just one! :THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE LASTING 2 MINUTES: Are we.....:THUNDER APPLAUSE STILL CONTINUING ANOTHER 1 MINUTE: Are we not thankful and excited for this new light provided through the faithful and discreet slave: THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE FOR ANOTHER 2 MINUTES:"

The reason it's so hard?
In my exploration of other christian religions, many of it's members believe the general and basic is true and the specifics may vary. In other words, God is good, Jesus was to save from sins, God looks into the heart and those will have some sort of future / after life. Disagreement on specifics is allowed and most understand they may not have a perfect or complete understanding.
With JW's, it's taught that everybody else is wrong and that there is only 'one truth' and those who are incorrect in their beliefs, no matter how hard or how good they are will be unworthly of life. JW's have made tons of sacrifices into rejecting higher education, planning for retirement, not fulfilling their dreams of travel and other joys with the promise that putting them aside is because the end is so close they won't reach old age and they'll be able to do those things forever.
The longer one is a JW and gave up things, the more vested interest they have in believing it whether it's true or not. As a person ages, their window of opportunity for greatness or to accomplish life goals decreases. A person can make a few mistakes in their early 20's and never feel it, in their 30's the window starts to close where they better be in a good direction, by 40's much lower chance and by 50's too late. (in regards to getting the higher education or starting a business and the time it takes from planning to fullfillment, also for saving for retirement, etc. )
If they are in their late 50's/early 60's, living in poverty, in bad health, they have a self created great tribulation from listening to the GB, to wake up then from certaintly to unable to find 'the truth' and the reality they will grow old and die and what they gave up, it's probably like in the Matrix, some don't want to wake up and they will even fight to stay in the Matrix.

DD - in many parts of the world people go hungry everyday. In egypt most live on less than 2 dollars a day. In phillipians many go through trash to find food.
The WT is based in USA. Anybody who is keeping up w/ developments, government overspending and out of control, etc, can see the very real possibility this country can really go downhill.

There is no excuse for no attempt and release of records of each and every cell phone user showing the GPS coordinates and information sent on their periodic updates. The same should have been done w/ flight 77 records as well.
