So he paid for a lot of that actresses training and other things and all these years later is attacking him. Did he really rape her or was she prostituting herself to get ahead and for all the money he spent and now all these years later she is hoping to collect more?

Bill Cosby - too much smoke for no fire?
by Simon init seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.
i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

Should not put your family first.
Should not pursue hobbies.
Should not have too much fun or entertainment.
Not allowed to make friends with outsiders.
Not allowed to celebrate your own or others birthdays.
We determine what clothing and styles you may wear.

apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The role models of the gentle giant inciting a riot. I think his stepfather should be charged with inciting a riot.

Such a model citizen, that video of MB attacking the store clerk was certainly faked and he really was a gentle giant like his step dad.

kaik - Is that serious? Did they just say those things out of the blue? Like my father is alive, my mom isn't dating, etc, so if I was you, would she have asked questions to then get to that or did she just say them? (I imagine them being like....."mmmmm something big recently happened in your life. you reply yes. They say..."mmm a death".) Was it like a process of elimination or were those things said without confirming/asking questions?

Officer Wilson not indicted in killing of Michael Brown
by Simon inafter a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.
let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

Yea I heard about the 12 year old. He was at a park, with an airsoft gun that had the orange thing removed and it looked real enough for somebody to call the police and it would be interesting to know what exactly happened that resulted in him being killed. But a real looking gun and a teen at a park, did the police have any dialogue with him or did they see somebody pointing a gun at somebody after being called there and shot thinking he was about to shoot somebody. With all these school shootings and young people getting guns, and many parents or people defending kids having guns, this sort of thing happens, doesn't mean the police are at fault.

talesin - So poverty alone is the issue? How does poverty equate to the disproportionate among of fatherless black children? Over 70% while for other races under 40%? The poorer somebody is, the more economical to live with family, etc. In poor Mexico they don't have those kinds of statistics. Now if it is poverty alone, how can that be fixed? I know for a FACT many black youth are discouraged from higher education and bettering themselves because it's being 'too white'. But the ones who do are doing good. Also because of the high criminal records, if somebody has an extensive police record by age 16, let alone any record, their opportunities greatly decrease. Is it racism that somebody with a criminal history and school dropout can't get a decent job?

Ahh interesting. The first one makes more sense now. I'm white but I'll say whether white or black, I am bad with faces if everyone has similar haircuts or features. A bunch of same size and build and hair style red headed guys would be as easy to confuse as black guys until longer exposure and notice the distinct features.
The 2nd case does seem unnerving and from your point of view based on those events, I would concur it seemed unwarranted. Unless they don't know the difference between a cherokee and explorer lol.

A day in the life of a Cop...my story. The truth.
by Witness 007 ini work for a mental health unit with 2 police officers we deal with people who have drug and mental health issues.
at times over the last 10 years we have "taken down" some large drug affected men, mainly "ice" these days which is epidemic here, and let me tell you even with three of us it is a huge struggle.
sometimes back up is needed or mace spray which is aweful stuff!

I agree. And for those who are talking about lethal and non lethal. I was surprised a few years ago when the state fair had the police with one of their training videos and lazer guns. They let us try it out. But they are trained for if they have to shoot, it's shoot to kill, NOT shoot to wound.

pacopoolio - Interesting story about your experience with police. What led up to those things though? Did you question or not listen or anything? Did they say get out of the car and you asked why vs just doing it, etc?
Anyway in the area I live in, the past few years almost each year a police officer has been killed on duty. Even on basic traffic stops too. Each time an officer pulls somebody over or approaches for any reason, their is a chance that that person will be armed and will attempt to kill them. Some officers may be power hungry aholes, but sometimes the aggression can be because any resistance increases their chances that this stranger may be dangerous.
The crime statistics are not the stop and search misdemeanors, etc, the FBI posts crime statstics annually and broken down by race, gender, etc, for all crimes from theft, robbing, to drunkedness, etc. Blacks are over 50% for all theft/robbery crimes. They are far below average for drunk crimes, whites are top for that. Asians are the lowest in everything.

There are pictures showing the officer's bruises from being attacked. The jury got all the evidence and facts. According to laws of this country justice was served. If story as officer describes was not a lie, then I side on him. No doubt that Michael attacked him, the only doubt is if in the end he put hands up to stop. As soon as he attacked the officer, he signed his own death warrant. If the first bullet in the car killed him there would have been no contest to anything.
Now THIS CASE below......the big black man who died after a chokehold, I think people should have been charged. Not sure what happened to them but they handled this situation really badly. First he was very upset, he was trying to be respectful even though not cooperating on being arrested, the guy shouldn't have chocked him, his very overweight and should of let him breathe and got off right away, and seems didn't even try cpr or anything when he was dying. And he wasn't a drug dealer or anything, just selling cigarettes illegally or untaxed.
