one of my friends who is a ms told me today that the elders have 'marked' me because i'm a reg.pioneer and i've decided to go to college next semester???!

he said he can't tell me anymore but to be careful---what the hell does 'mark' mean?

WT procedure is to meet with the person first.

They would have had you be deleted as a reg. pioneer first,

then they would have had a "marking talk" about how the

GB/FDS reminds us how bad higher learning is.

If they haven't met with you I can't see how they've already

marked you.

Do Larsinger and mP live in the same reality everyone else does?

I personally have great respect for COJ and his research. On the other hand the coockoo clock mentality of Larsinger's long "illuminationed" posts leave a lot to be desired, like for example... Nope, can't think of any, I guess I don't even consider any of his posts worthy of recollection.

Why oh why can't we just have a blocking feature on this forum. And... I wouldn't be tempted to make ad hominem remarks putting down his "spiritualist" foreknowledge, &c., &c., &c.

Thanks to Cantleave for this Larsinger profile, sketch below, provided a while back.

It helps me when reading Larsinger's posts to keep in mind their source.

How Will The Governing Body Endure?

ignore the concerns of 'old-timers' (well, the society pretty much has, anyway).

my question is: how can the governing body endure it all?.

If we look at other religions and their corrupt leadership we may also wonder when something has got to give.

But yet... Televangelists still rake in the $$$. The Catholic Church still pays out the $$$ to the abused.

The Amish still dress in 18th century styles, and the Mormons still believe in their pseudo-historical crap.

People are duped into monetarily supporting religious leaders who make them act and behave in wacky ways.

Instead of thinking about religious institutions being not-for profit we may well think of them as for-control, and for-power.

The more power the organization enjoys the more it can withstand. The more powerful the leaders the harder to make them fall.

The only advantage in bringing them down is that all humans are fallible, (including the Pope), and we, humans, all make mistakes.

And a series of bad mistakes could take down a powerful organization.
