Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me
by Shepherd Book inso, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

Dear ShepherdBook I applaud your wherewithall!
You inconvenienced them because they sought to get around the rules to use a public place.
If they insist on their own rules being followed to a T then they should likewise follow a community center's rules.
I see no problem with that and if the "Quiet One" likes to make noise about it then s/he's making an oxy-moron of him/herself.

by cptkirk ini think normally i would be with the judge all the way....but i think it was clear that the girl thought it imprudent to tell the entire court how much jewelry she owned?
her mannserisms for being in a court room were somewhat strange, but at the same time we are dragging these kids into court over what?
because they want to use xyz substance?

She disrespected the judge by not taking seriously the dignity of the court and playing games with the "Adios" bit, she knew he had a Spanish accent and that's why she said it.
It may have been a hard lesson for her to finally get, but you can't disrespect a judge and think you can get away with it.

Candace Conti: WTS Notified Re Opening Appellate Brief
by DNCall inaccording to the docket, wts was notified that their opening brief has not been timely filed.
their appeal will be dismissed if there is no further activity by february 22, 2013.

Isn't it timely that the 15 cent per publisher collection will add up to 20 million dollars collected?
Timely indeed since it's not going to take 20M to bring home all the invited missionaries (NOT all missionaries, but only those invited).
And the Conti Case isn't 20M that the WT will have to pay out if it loses. Doesn't the case call for 6M from the losing WTS when everything is said and done.
This way they've already made up for the awarded money and still have left overs.

some of them have rally helped me to understand and examine again my beliefs.. last new light concerning f&ds=gb has verified the idea that they are popes in the position op pope.. i still believe in god & in his son jesus christ but not in the gb..

by Jewel ini haven't been to a meeting (other than some cousins' weddings) for well over twenty years.
i've always wondered what the fds was going to do with the "generations" thing once pretty much everybody who had been alive in 1914 is gone.
i get that they've come up with some "new light" about this topic, but when i ask my mom (who's still in) i only get "well, the new understanding is complicated...".

Well, after reading the Greek Scriptures
without the WT veil, I decided to start
partaking of the emblems. The next CO
visit, he and the then PO now (COBOE),
came asking why I felt I was anointed
and it was a very freaky, and very dark
visit. It was in the afternoon and the
Sun went behind the clouds, the CO who
was sitting in front of the only window
was now only a shadow and the only light
coming from the window was now on me
it felt like one of those spy interrogation
scenes where they shine a lamp on the
guy getting interrogated. The CO's voice
got louder and louder with every question.
And since all I could see of him was his
silhouette it seemed like a demonic presence
was in front of me asking these questions
about why I thought I would be ssssooooo
ssspeciallllllyyy choooossssen (I'm trying
to show how he stretched those words)
just like what I think a televangelist pastor
sounds like.
It's hard to believe it's been now several
years since the demonic knuckle head of
a CO left and all other CO's have been
ignoring the fact I partake.
Maybe I'm counted as one of the mental
cases because I do put my faith in Christ
and I do believe those who put faith in
him are born from above, born again, in
the Spirit.

I know some aren't psychotic.
They've been reading up on
anointedJW.org and are now
learning about the wonderful
good news of sonship through
faith in Jesus Christ.To some who don't believe in
Jesus as the promised Messian
this may be hard to entertain.But for believers in Jesus Christ
this is the message that comes
out clearly in reading the NT
without the prejudice of the
WT interpretations.It means many among the
R&F Witnesses are waking
up to the Gospel and rejecting
the nonsense of the WT teachings.

It's a Carlsberg beer commercial, but it made me think of how prejudice
forces people to do certain things.
When publishers are trained to show contempt and dislike for those who've
been DF'ed or DA'ed themselves it causes prejudice and bigotry and taints
our judgment and demeans our humanity.
But anyway the beer ad has a good ending.
