Did you say it's a "prostate" forum?

i'm trying to download the fred franz's 1975 gilead talk from free minds, but it does not download properly (it's supposed to be a file called franz-govbody1975.mp3, with a files size of 27.44mb, but i only get a 184kb 30 second file when i download it).
is anyone able to download this succesfully from this page?.
http://www.freeminds.org/category/6-mp3s-voice-podcasts.html.
You can also purchase the mp3 of the talk with Ray Franz's comments about his uncle's discourse at:
http://www.commentarypress.com/Detail/eng_governingbody.html
The CD is sold out but you can still download it on Mp3
(A copy of 1975 discourse by F. W. Franz, with observations by R. V. Franz), 60 minutes, available in three formats: cassette tape, compact disc, or directly downloadable as an MP3 audio file (13.7 MB), suitable for playback on computer or portable mp3 playback device (such as iPod).
The significance of this talk in the history of the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses is spelled out in Chapter 4 of the book "Crisis of Conscience". The voice recording not only verifies that presentation but audibly and vividly makes evident the intensity of the power struggle within that organization at the time of the talk.
i was doing some wt reading why superintendentes itinerantes as opposed to superintendentes viajante?
maybe all those rumors about the end of the c.o arrangement are trueafter all.
i got excited thinking that i was going to call it first on this forum.
It just goes to show you how their pharisaical guidelines can get even a writer/translator at Bethel all confused.
We're doing this and we're doing that, standard procedures to follow you know... Sad!!!
letter regarding theocratic strategy.. .
.
bangalore.
Here you go Isaac...
Dear Brother _______
Thank you for your recent letter regarding "theocratic
strategy." From time to time we receive letters of this nature.
The various articles you refer to are most appropriate on this
subject and we have little more to add to this. However, it is
important to define exactly what constitutes a lie. The Watchtower
of July 15, 1981, on page 436, has the following to say about this:
"A liar is not one who, by mistake, utters a falsehood unintention-
ally. A liar is one who knowingly utters an untruth, designed to
deceive and mislead. Lies and truth do not mix. John was
intensely loyal to the truth. He knew that 'no lie originates with
the truth.'" --1 John 2:21.
With the above definition in mind it could hardly be said that
Rahab, David and others were "living a lie" in the action they took
when confronted with God's enemies. The June 1960 Watchtower, on
page 352, appropriately states that Scripturally it is proper to
hide the truth from God's enemies for the purpose of protecting the
interests of his cause. This certainly has nothing to do with
lying. Obviously it is best to emphasize the positive aspects of
persecution and opposition rather than dwell on the negative side
of things. Being "in the truth" means precisely what it says. We
are following the path of truth, we speak the truth and urge others
to do the same. Under no circumstances can we compromise the truth
for our personal convenience or safety. We simply use discernment
and caution when the interests of the truth are threatened by
bitter enemies. This happened on many occasions in Nazi Germany
and continues to happen in various parts of the earth to this day.
We do not feel that this subject needs to become a matter of
general discussion among the brothers. Perhaps it may be possible
for two of the elders to kindly talk to the sister who was
disturbed by the point you made. We have been pleased to respond
to your correspondence and we take this opportunity of sending an
expression of our very warm Christian love and greetings.
Your brothers,
Watchtower B. & T. Society
of Australia

i bet people has forgotten me but thats ok because i know they have helped me a lot on here.. .
anyways i think the last time i been on here i mentioned my jw sister not going to my wedding.
for those that do remember my story, the wedding was beautiful on the beach in key west, fl!
Bfl85, I think I understand, you're going through the motions to
get reinstated so that ties with family will be re-established,
but then you wish to "fade" from the organization. This sounds
like a plan that will take time and patience. I hope you can endure
and I hope your family can see that you want them close to you but
you need to distance yourself from meetings, service, assemblies, etc.
You have my prayer sister. Consider yourself one of the "conscious
class" as some here like to mention. But by going back you realize
how much the motions of being a JW tug at your heart strings, this
is very understandable, it was and is a part of you. But stay strong
and follow your plan.
Good luck on the fade! Be strong, be cautious and be conscious.
with the "generation change" and them changing it all the time it would make sence to dump it all togeather.. lets face it ,it can be disproved easly.. they dumped 1975 in a heart beat .. this would buy them all the time they wanted as they would just find another date to start the generation from ie: "the u.n year of peace and sercurty'',1986 i belive or whatever else they could think of.. they could sell it to the r&f as easly as they sold 1975,then dumped it when it did'nt happen .. anyone questioning them would be told they are running ahead of jehovah or lacking faith in his earthly org that feeds us food at the proper time .. what do you think?.
karter..
Well said Sapphy. As well as others who expressed similar predictions. I'm one of
those invested in for decades. Although now I'm as Rick Fearon likes to say, of
the "conscious class".
Every generation seems to think they're the ones that are the last. Well, that's
what they've been led to believe. But more and more are catching onto the old
tricks of the WatchTower. (Especially since digital media is so available and old
books and other publications are easy to come by through the internet, there
are truly many roving about in the last days of the WatchTower, we can only
hope.)
any 'proof' or quotes or experiences one way or other.
.
No... No, JWs don't DF people for taking blood.
Let me explain from experience.
I sat in on a judicial committee. The brother
was not very active in service, only spotty
meeting attendance, he had health issues,
needed bypass, took blood, he admitted it
in a handwritten note the Service Overseer
got from him when he stopped by the hospital
while the man was recuperating. The decision
was made within five minutes of starting the
meeting. The man had disassociated himself
through his actions and admitted to the actions
without writing he was repentant so the paper
work was done and it was announced he was
no longer a Jehovah's Witness, even before
the man had a chance to get back on his feet
and go on with life after the operation. No
visits from "the friends", no sisters making
meals during his convalescence, he might
as well have died on the operating table
as far as the congregation was concerned.
He often took walks along the sidewalk in
front of his house, to regain health, on a
main street of town, many cargroups would
go by I'm sure, I wonder how he felt looking
at them looking at him from within their self
righteous cargroups.
To this day I'm sickened about the whole thing.
Although I went along with putting the paper
work through I first said let's talk to the brother
let him get better and talk. I was voted down.
I'm sick about it inside. It's one of those things
I'm sure I'll have to answer for one day. All I
can add is that I'm truly sorry I went along with
it. I hadn't seen him walking the sidewalk for
a couple of years, maybe he went to a nursing
home. The BOE then got a letter from his daughter
who was never baptized asking if some brother
would give the talk at the funeral home for him.
None in the 8 man group of the BOE would
volunteer; it's not done for DF'ed and DA'd
individuals.
It's a sick cult, we're all too afraid of breaking
men's laws and too quick to uphold what deep
down we know to be an inhumane and uncaring
way of dealing with people we should reach out
to help, to shepherd, to bring refreshment from
the scorch of this "system of things" but we
do the easy thing and go along, to the heart
ache and suffering of innocent ones.
That's my experience on Blood and DF'ing.
So... No, JWs don't DF people for taking blood..

honestly wonder if they really care that people leave.. which got me to thinking.
it's true it seems that the brass at bethel.
I agree with the idea of sustainability.
And if the WT gets out of Brooklyn they minimize
any chance of some crazed Islamist blowing
up a dirty bomb in Manhattan and poisoning
the surrounding burroughs, including DUMBO
area.
Good topic! Good comments!
just thought i would share what the borg is dispensing as "spiritual food at the proper time" .. .
tuesday, may 11. quickly.
they forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel.ps.106:13.. some may have left gods flock because they did not agree with some scriptural teaching.
Have those who stopped associating with the Christian congregation found another place where there is rich spiritual food? No, for there is none!
Sounds like some hole in the wall mediocre restaurant in some
no account town trying to say they're the best food place around.
Better a dish of vegetables... than the poisoned delicacies of the
Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society religion.
Blue Grass, maybe he's a 'conscious class' elder?
If he's using FaceBook and he's an elder there's
got to be a reason why he's still active on that
social website despite counsel to not do so.
Safest thing is to block him, and edit your profile
to increase your privacy settings.
(Maybe the elder you're refering to is me :-)
