OK, things are about to get messy....
by uk_ex_jw ini have been operating as an ex-jw for over five years now.. i was never d/f or d/a - following an unsuccessful marriage to a jw and subsequent divorce, i went through quite an awful period of my life.. i was blocked from seeing my daughter by my ex-wife and her staunch jw family.. slowly my jw friends started pulling away as they didn't want to get involved.. i lost all interest in the organisation, and started to build a social circle outside of the faith.. at this point, my mother was still an active jw.. during that time, my mother wrote a letter to the bethel in london explaining to them what my ex-wife had done, and how she had been supported by her jw family.. the reply ; your son, and yourself need to work on your own spirituality.
jehovah will bless you as a result.. so that was it.. over the last 12 months, myself and my mother have spent a lot of time researching the organisation.
i gave her crisis of conscience which she has read, and now she is at the point where she doesn't believe that the organisation have the truth and hasn't been to a meeting in over a year.. yet, she has been hounded by elder's since this time.. one particular elder - imagine, the hitler-type elder who makes it his business to organise and dictate everyone's lives.

Ok, this will put an end to the elder's calls to your Mom...
There was strict counsel to elders not to call sisters on the phone unless there was another elder on the line.
Have your Mom make a list of all the times (or approximations of times) when this elder called her.
Then have her call another elder in the congregation, ask him to put another elder on a conference call, of course mention
that it's a matter about reporting abuse and going beyond spiritual boundaries by the Stalker elder and
tell the two elders that the other elder has been calling repeatedly wanting to spend time on the phone with her
asking to come by and visit.
Now this is most important she needs to tell them (not ask them) to tell the elder never to call again or try to visit
or even approach her, or she will go to the CO, the DO and call the Branch and the local authorities with her
documented list of times he's tried to approach her by phone and other ways and that she wants this
stalking and persecution to stop. She is very traumatized by all this and if she has to she will consider getting
legal counsel, especially if anything is done to retaliate against her. She's to the point where she's considering
to sell her home and move away to get away from the harassment and continued unwanted calls from this
elder who has stepped outside the boundaries of spiritual appointed men. She should tell them that she has
proof (her list, but don't give any details nor mention it beyond saying proof that will hold up in a court of law
but she doesn't want to pursue criminal charges at this time, and of course bring reproach on Jehovah's name
by exposing this ongoing stalking and abuse of power, but if she receives a call from this elder or any other
elder tries to put pressure on her she will defend herself by means of secular law if she has to. Please, do
not call her again, if she needs spiritual support she will most definitely seek it and any unwanted calls will
only aggravate her level of disgust towards this elder's behavior and a disappointment with the entire body
of elders for not taking actions to stop the abuse. She should thank them for listening and not answer any
questions, but only say she's got to let someone know and that's why she called, please respect her request
and please do something about this rogue elder.

@Doubtingbro
I believe it would be very unlikely that this would work for someone who hasn't moved out of the circuit.
But for someone doing a fade and having moved away, the announcement in the congregation where their family attends might be just what they wished for.@Balaamsass
Does anyone have these files of letters, forms, etc. that can be uploaded anew?
Most links on older threads are dead. Are any JWN members here into archiving these forms?@Wannabefree
The Governing Body has no legal connection nor is it a legal entity that operates under any corporation since the changes in 2001.
Since they've "disassociated" themselves from any legal WT incorporated entity, how easy would it be to set up another un-incorporated and un-attached group that informs on the shannanigans of the Governing Body and it's fracass'ed moral leadership of the JW religion! -

@mind blown
thanks, that brings another issue up. The annulling of baptisms. Does the new Elder's Book say anything about this?
And would a person who's baptism is annulled get an announcement different from not being one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
Back to the idea of reinstating DF'ed by committee review:
I would think that the idea of annulling DF'ings would be to counteract shunning, right?

Ok, I thought of this "tongue in cheek" and after realizing that I'd bit hard, and my tongue became sore, it transformed into a "why not?" idea... Your thoughts on this below are welcome:
=========
I've been reading the new elders book (a copy of which I'm willing to share with anyone here on ChannelC) concerning the DF'ing and reinstatement procedures.
It seems to me that a person may request to be reinstated, a committee is formed, and a decision is made, then a public announcement is made if the person is reinstated as one of Jehovah's Witnesses... All of which can be done according to the elders book, yet the decision rests with the reviewing committee, and what is there to hold us back from forming committees and annulling DF'ings and reinstating those who are clearly wrongly DF'ed.
(Note that it is easier to recall a DF'ing that was done on improper grounds than to reinstate someone who admits guilt and wishes to conform to Watchtower discipline procedures.)
So I propose we go about this tout de suite and take advantage of the wonderful provision of reinstatement by committee.
I volunteer as Committee Secretary to serve papers on any congregation informing them of a person's reinstatement as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Personally I can see the first case before such a Committee to be the DF'ing of Raymond Franz. I feel that given the information that we now have available out on public through the internet can serve as basis enough to recall the decision by the brothers who DF'ed Ray and reinstate the brother publicly online... starting with an entry on Wikipedia and posting it all through the Witness Forums and ex-JW forums out-there in the cloud.
So what do you think? Anyone up for serving on a reinstatement committee?:<end quote>
Do you think this is feasable? Or are they just grasping at straws?
If you are DF'ed or DA'ed and being shunned would you consider
getting one of these reinstatement letters sent to the local KH?

The WT doesn't believe in infant baptism, but does an 11 year old really understand what they're getting into isn't just a pool with a lot of people looking on?

Watchtower's Billion Dollars of Property Cannot Be Sold until Outcome of Conti Appeal
by Dogpatch in30 minutes ago i just got off the phone with some important players in this case, and some things were relayed to me concerning a lot of details of the outcome of the last two days of court.
i am passing this on.
cynthia hampton, one of the main players in the candace conti case (and a close friend of 28 years), just informed me of a further, far more powerful move by the state of california against the watch tower bible and tract society of new york, inc.. by order of the superior court of the state of california - county of alameda (see documents below), until the watch tower's appeal, which won't begin until august 13th and will take up to two years to settle due to due process of law, has forbidden the watch tower to sell any more of its $1 billion in assets in the borough of brooklyn until the appeals case is finished, to assure they won't shelter their monies in the light of this most huge and devastating sexual abuse scandal ever to hit the watch tower society, and perhaps any other single-victim lawsuit.

@Randy
Oh Happy Day!
This is good news that hits the Watchtower where it counts, its money bag.
@Juan Viejo 2
Mi hermano Juan,
Around New England the combining of KH's and selling off properties has been going on for quite sometime and it's unlikely from what I can tell that there's anything else they can bleed off from this scheme, but it makes one wonder...
There's the lending of money which had been contributed for KH constructions (this is still going on strong) with RBC's in New England, one in Massachusetts, (in Gardner), and in New Hampshire, (Wilmot Flatts come to mind), there are many other renovations scheduled in Maine and Vermont.
These renovations put the congregations into heavy debt to the WTS and includes amending the congregation's incorporation charter to give the WTS ownership of the property if the congregation is disbanded.
So if push came to shove they may decide to close some congregations and bleed off more from the R&F, but maybe if there is some trouble and the R&F decide they've had enough of the WT overlords and their pedophile case coverups, they'll use this tactic to get cash.

Announcements regarding congregation accounts report is back on for Service Meeting
by oppostate inwith the last service meeting the reading of the local congregation accounts report will be back on the schedule being read from the podium..

@skeeter1
Excellent question!
====
One figure that won't be mentioned is how much money the WTS has on hold for the congregation in their own banks.
And also if a congregation shares a meeting the actual costs from the KH Operating Committee will not be read to the congregation.
So that if an Operating Committee has $20,000+ in the bank, that is in trust with the WTS's bank account so they can use it, invest it and what not, the sum will not be read in the report, but only the local Congregation expenditures and receipts for the month, that way it seems like they're just barely making it from month to month.
BTW... The bookstudy will now be adding 5 minutes and the Service Meeting will be deducted 5 minutes.
All announcements will happen during the first part scheduled for the Service Meeting.
It used to be that if I or my wife missed a meeting due to sickness or some dire circumstance the question to the one that did attend was "Anything new in the Announcements?" Well, I guess that says how much more non-eventful every mid-week meeting will become.
