How the house of cards comes crashing down, in the WTS' own words.
by poopsiecakes in"rejecting or trivializing the genesis account about adam and eve creates a domino effect that undermines nearly every major teaching in the bible!
such a way of thinking leads to a host of unanswered questions and a faith with nothing to stand on.".
footnote: "these include teachings about gods sovereignty, human integrity, good and evil, free will, the condition of the dead, marriage, the promised messiah, a paradise earth, gods kingdom, and many others.".

GrowingGirl, can I ask you what you think? What's making you ask the 'what if' question? Did something happen?

The arrogance of the WT is astounding, thanks for pointing out that, Cadellin. 'Real science' indeed - pffft.
Ucantknowme - read the quote again...

This is TRUE. For once, I cannot disagree with a black and white statement from the WT. Once you let go of what you've been trained to believe, you realize that it's absolutely true and the fabric of the tapestry unravels very quickly and easily.
WMF, thanks for finding that WT
The more I thought about it, I knew that they don't throw original thoughts onto their website. They always quote their literature over there. Thanks again!Jeez just surfing around, they really have a LOT of Awake articles on animals. Has it never occured to them that the more they highlight all of the different species out there, particularly ones indigenous to parts of the world far far away from Mt Ararat, that the flood tale makes no logical sense? And that they're making it so easy to realize it makes no sense?

Help! Strange request for info I heard in a Recorded (gasp!) Talk.
by PaintedToeNail ini heard a recording of a talk by a bro.
who's topic was something to the effect of 'coincidences in the history of wtbts and jehovah's direction'.
i believe it was an american bro., who claimed that a woman who owned a mansion in atlanta, at the time of general sherman's march to the sea, and subsequent burning of atlanta, had her mansion saved.

Don't let the name of the link fool you LOL...this is a really interesting website with a full financial rundown of Russell. Nothing about Coca Cola but the amount of companies he owned or partially owned is astounding. Not an particularly stellar record finacially, seemed like he jumped around a lot looking for ways to make a fast buck. The last paragraph is intriguing though...

The Watchtower is stating that means the Bible as a whole is a fake.
That's exactly what I thought too! I still can't believe it's there. Realistically, I'm not sure how many people actually read their official website - I think JW's use it to have an online NWT and you kind of have to dig to find these little nuggets. I tend to dig...from time to time. ;-)
Can you imagine how much a black and white statement like this, from their own mouths (so to speak), could open up some minds?
