Text Messaging, Cell Phone Use and Computers---All A Target At Assembly
by minimus inmy mom told me that she heard a recording of some of the assembly and they really hit hard on the above mentioned things and anything that can take precious time away from the ministry.

Are they going to stop using Text Messaging, Cell Phone Use and Computers at The World Headquarters and at Patterson? Are they going to get cell phones that you can't text on? Are the Elder body going to go back to letter writing when they need to make contact with others.
Do they shut off their cell phones at Bethel and at meetings. Most importantly, are the pioneer sisters going to obey this commandment. How will they ever stop gossiping to one another while counting their time at the different coffee shops.

AGUEST. You use the Bible when it suits you. That is the reason that I know you are captive to your own concepts of what is true. Whenever you quote from the verses that support what you are telling us, you are quoting what men have written, not what God has told men to write.
The very Bible that you quote has been established to have been mistranslated, misquoted, and rewritten over and over throughout the centuries in many Bible versions. It is all hand me down history of the Jewish people, Hebrew people and those who say the things about Jesus, like yourself.
Yes, there are some good advices and words of wisdom to follow that will be of benefit to those who take the advice, however, there are many good books like the "CHICKEN SOUP" books that have been helpful to many.
How can you say that your Lord has you quoting from a book that is not of his doing.
You are captive of your own fear of death, and think that by saying the things you say, that you will escape death and live forever.
If this works for you, if it helps you overcome your fear of death and the unknown afterlife, well, peace be to you.

There's A Ghost At My Place Of Employment
by finallysomepride inok some of you will laugh at this, but it's true, there is a spirit that haunts the premises where i work.. it has spoken to me once when i was locking up, it was 1 single word "hello", i looked around and saw nothing, i ignored it, set the alarm locked the door & went home.
other times i have felt something brush passed me as i have entered the building early in the morning.
the experience that got to me most happened the other nite when i was called back to the store by security, as i pulled into the drive way there was a man standing at the rear of the building, in the split second of looking away he dissapeared, there's no way that he could have run off the property in that split second.. what do you think?.

I will read the books you suggested. I have read much on the afterlife, outer body experiences, near death experiences, etc. I could name many books that I too have read, but, I'm sure you have too. Hi GromitSK! Thank you for the link to Leslie Flint.com. I have in my library a book by Hanz Holzer entitled: "GHOSTS" TRUE ENCOUNTERS WITH THE WORLD BEYOND. 758 PAGES. 1997 AND 2004 EDITIONS.
In it he covers much of what you have shared here. Google him if you don't know about him and his works. Under Famous Ghosts he has 116 persons listed. He shares much of what you are talking about here.

Another Sunday Afternoon

Sleeping in late mornings on Sunday. Waking to a french toast and coffee breakfast with my wife. Taking the puppy out for a fun time. Taking my wife out for a fun time ,shopping. Yes! Shopping with my wife is so much better than going door to door with her. Reading some topics from the good friends here, never boring to read from the friends. Sundays, sweet Sundays, we missed this for 33 years!

For all dog owners....One happy dog!
by restrangled ini have resisted buying a dog bed, just because they are too expensive.
i can slap together some old blankets, sheets etc., and pile them up, and the old boy will happily lay down on them.. today at sams wholesale, i found a bed for $29.00 with a zipper so i can wash the cover.
it was a monster to get into the car, stuff in the back seat, and it obstructed all vision.

We have a ten week old chihuahua. She bites us. We use the words "BE NICE" and she cries, we have a lot of toys for her to play with and bite on. she did not get her second set of teeth yet and she is always trying to chew on our hands when we hold her.
She starting to understand the words"BE NICE" when she starts to chew on our hands. We bought her a bed for $12. and she likes to chew on it too. She sometimes settled down and curls up inside it and goes to sleep for awhile.
However, she snuggles between us in our bed at night time. she is so little that we don't mine.
