There are so many flaws in this talk and misapplication of scripture it is unreal, I feel sorry for those listening who now feel that they have to demonstrate faith more than ever. I forsee another round of unnessary suffering they have my heartfelt sympathy.
i knew that jehovah's witnesses were callous and cruel but this just takes it to a new level.. my children's house was burned in a fire and their idiot mother (my ex wife) did not have insurance on the house.. home depot is trying to help them and has offered to donate materials to repair the house and has asked habitat for humanity to get involved to supply the labor.. the habitat for humanity district manager came to my children's house and met the home depot district manager and my children.. after they left my children's grandmother (who lives in the house) told them that if habitat for humanity is involved in fixing the house that she will refuse to live there any more because they are involved with christendom.
so, she is putting pressure on my ex wife to leave the house burned and leave my chlidren (her grandchildren) homeless.. my middle daughter said "well, we will miss you when you leave".
my youngest daughter said, "well i guess i won't be seeing you any more because i refuse to live in a burned house when people are offering to help fix it but you and my mother are so stupid and retarded that you won't let them help".. please tell me that my ex wife won't be stupid enough to go along with this nonsense.
HappyGuy Is the Grandmother starting on the road to dimensia since her behaviour is irrational and bizzare. Actually she sounds like my husbands mother full of threats and emotional blackmail it is annoying and frustrating trying to deal with someone like this.
I would tell you daughters to continue to be direct with her. Give her the telephone number of the local Kingdom Hall or the CBOE and say, this is when the work is going to be done, we know it offends your conscience that it isn't being done by JWs so you would probably prefer to be away from the house whilst it is in progree. As the Witnesses had no desire to help with the building works I am sure that they will be delighted to take you in and accommodate you from now on. As we are busy with rebuilding perhaps you should arrange this for yourself. If she actually has to beg witnesses for charity that others are offeriing freely then perhaps she will change her tune. The congregation are admonished in scripture to care for widows and orphans who are actually widows, they may feel that although you are not living with the family you are still responsible to care for them in their time of need. Whether you are a JW or not they may be witholding assistance to punnish you, I wouldn't put it past them.
When all is said and done the JWs have behaved shamefully whilst others have demonstrated true Christian principles.

I have heard this stated before but not quite so bluntly. Unfortunately as has been said some members of the R&F will see this as validation of their efforts in the ministry.
Now the blinkers are off you see how ridiculous this all is Muslims and others really do not need to hear the message since they are already part of a condemned nation, Christs enemies. Going on the ministry is to fulfill the obligation to make a sacrifice of praise. This being so there is no need to be effective since I am merely working out my own salvation not theirs.

we went to oz for a wedding of a brother and sister from the sydney bethel.
it was the most bizzare wedding of all time, the cake was a multi coloured telitubby creation and the veggie food option was baby octopus and squid, the alcohol was free flowing and all bethelites in attendance took full advantage.
we were sat listening to the speaches and it was getting rowdier and rowdier and some of the language was rather unscriptual to say the least, as it was mixed jw and non jw we were surprised to find that all of this noise came from the bethelites.
Worst wedding, most JW weddings are much of a muchness. I remember receiving a late invite to a JW wedding in order to make up numbers. When we arrived at the reception we weren't on the seating plan and were sent away feeling embarrased that we had inadvertantly gatecrashed this rather posh affair. It later turned out that our names were scribbled in on a last minute plan in the Mother of the Bride's pocket. They tried to ring us and get us to come back to the wedding but we had gone to visit friends in the area and didn't get the call.
Quite frankly we had more fun not going than we would have had being there so really they did us a favour.
i am so ready for the world cup to start!.

i hadn't attended meetings for over a year now and i had a good jw friend from another hall.
she was friends with me before me being a witness.
we knew each other from school and she had a hand in converting me.
Witnesses constantly judge other people as either strong or weak and choose to shun those that fail to match the required level of spitituality. They do this as a form of self protection since if someone is not attending meetings they may be a corrupting influence and a bad association. The assumption is often made that if a person is inactive or irregular the fault is with the person concerned and their lack of spirituality. Really unless you are dying and incapacitated there is no good reason to stay away.
Also she may feel let down and betrayed since she was instrumental in introducting you to the organisation then your failure may be her failure and she doesn't want to confront this possibility.
I am sorry you are having to deal with this as on the outside it looks petty and silly but for those deep in the cult this behaviour is perfectly acceptable.
well sometimes life is just really good.
my former study got out of the cult before me and we have been getting to know each other again.
she visited last week, barely missed the snow storm, and now she has joined our forum.. .

wednesday night i recieved a call from both the coeb and the kingdom hall.
i didn't answer.
yesterday i called him back and i was informed that unless i wanted to talk to the brothers they had determined that my actions spoke for themselves and that i had by those actions disassociated myself.

You are so on the money with this one. When you start listening it is so easy to drop into just an acceptance of the music without any critical thinking. It seems pleasant and melodic. When you stop and listen again having read the explaination you think why didn't I notice that the first time around. So apposite.

magazine's frequent use of the word "minimusize" in a positive light.
and there was the sound and smell of ground coffee that was in the background.
Minimus I tried I really tried.
They were using a derivative of your name in the publications in a positive way.
The smell of coffee was in the background which you find a pleasurable aroma.
You were with your JW family.
This seemed like a positive dream not a post traumatic type of experience. Perhaps this is you telling yourself you are comfortable with where you are. You are fully faded and have left the society on your own terms and you feel good about your decision.
This could obviously be a load of baloney but if you didn't feel upset or threatened by the dream than the message is most likely a good one.
