This would be a totally inappropriate illustration. Children are victims in these cases and greatly damaged by the experience. Did the scenario suggest that the child had lied? Or that someone else committed the crime? Stupid talk that diminishes real suffering by real people.

he went on to describe how terrible such an accusation would be, and how "friends" of the accused would know he's not capable of such an act and would rally to his defense.
at several points in the talk, he refers back to the child molester "example" and how eventually, despite the hideous slander heaped on a man in this situation (depicting jehovah in the bigger picture, we assume), that man's good reputation would be restored.

I have to say that can't leave never told me anything when he was an elder. Even when he was out doing a jc he never told me that was what he was doing. No one ever tried to ask me for information since I knew nothing. All I knew was that he was often upset but wouldn't talk about it. If he answered a call he would go to another room. It was a lonely life as an elders wife constantly looking after children alone so my husband could focus on t he needs of the congregation. Mind you I also knew an elders wife who knew everything.

It is funny how jws view of shunning is as a benign action similar to a time out. In the time out process the child is isolated for 1minute for each year of life so there is no comparison between the shunning process of jws and loving parental discipline. I think you handled it well focusing on one topic and one point and challenging them. Jws always deny that people are shunned even though they know that it can and does happen. Hopefully they will think this over.

Has Piper ever had cancer? Cancer is not a gift certainly not one that any loving person would inflict on another. It is tragic that there are people who will read this and feel guilty because they are failing to appreciate what is happening to them and failure to get well will be because of their lack of faith. His sentiment is an insult to anyone who has had to address the facts of the condition in their lives.

There is no mercy or weakness allowed within the congregation. The message is only keep company with those who are happy and indoctrinated. The emphasis on negative people and reporting sins contains the idea that negativity is in itself a sin. So if someone is unhappy with some aspect of doctrine or the congregational arrangement then they have nowhere to go to work through their issues.

When people suffer from dimentia then these sort of paranoid delusions are common. As you didn't embezzle her money and made yourselves destitute caring for her needs then the claim is baseless. You have bank records supporting your payments. They need to determine where her payments went and who had access to the funds. Really if she was in a care facility then they should know. If there was paperwork then they should have let you know.
It sounds like the authorities have lost the plot and are trying to find an easy out.
Was your mother at your home no she wasn't.
I would make a clear diary of events and payments including which facility she was in and when. If you have any supporting documentation then get it together including bank statements so that you are prepared. It is natural to feel stressed but this will pass. Lazy officials who don't check the facts before sending out trash are a blight.
You have done more than most would it is sad your mother can't appreciate your Sacrifices.
