You know out of all the actors that semi-consistantly bash America/Americans JD at least had the curtosey to actually leave the country. I mean at least he is consistant, he does not like it here so he left. I say he is setting a good example for other HW stars.

I thought Clinton was a good 'caretaker' president. However, it never ceases to amaze me the liberal lefts support for him.
Clinton was a very moderate democrat, and not much differnt than a moderate republican. thats why I supported him. Why did you guys on the left support him? I mean he did take your party to the right, of course since 9/11 it has ran back to the left and then some.

I have voted both democrat and republican. My vote depends who they run, and what I feel the country needs at the time. Currently, the only dem that has a snowballs chance is Lieberman, but he probably will not get the nomination; he is a centrist in an increasingly left focused party.
I would have to see what Clark is all about before I could support him. It is not enough just to attack Bush's policies I need to know what these guys plan to do.

i have been doing contract work for about four years now and i have been trying to get a permanent position for well over a year.
last week i did an interview for a job that would have been perfect.
it was even very close to where i live... within a five minute drive.. this morning i got feedback and they really liked me, but decided to go with another candidate.

The whole tech sector is shot. I could have finished my degree last spring in MIS, but I postponed graduating because the economy was so bad. This semester I am finishing a certificate in web programming but I am not sure it will help me much. I am thinking about just getting another BS in accounting or going on to grad work. The important thing is not to give up but keep trying sooner or later these things work out.

I am not a religous guy by any standard, just letting you know where I am coming from. It seems your standard is very subjective, what is so clear to you is not so clear to everyone else. When does a statue of Moses change from a simple work of art and become a religious icon? It is a bit like the pornography argument, what is one mans porn is another mans art. Any way I dont see how a statue of the ten commandments supports any religion. It reminds me of the time after an assembly I was eating with the brothers at a chinese resturant. This restuarant had excellent almond cookies but because the cookie plate was placed before a statue of budha no one would eat the cookies. I did not follow the logic then and I dont now.

I agree most of what you said elsewhere. I am still curious as to how this new adaptation of the law is going to be enforced. Is it just the judeo-christian stuff that needs to go, or everything. Rem mentioned only things that take a 'special meaning' -- what does that mean. It seems to the current fervor to remove icons of christianity reeks of a low scale purdge.

So then whats the answer? You realize that relgious imagery is everywhere, not just christain but pagan. Are we going to need to strip all references of relgion from our public buildings? If we just strip some but not all, who decieds what stays and what goes? Are we going to become like JW's who will not use the word luck becuase its orgin was pagan?
Seems to me like alot of people are overeacting. I not relgious but I am not anti-relgious either and I have trouble seeing how a statue of the ten commandments could be interpreted as some form of state sanctioned relgion. If moore was using the ten commandments as a law reference, then yes I see a problem; but it is just some statue so I dont see a problem. I mean are the statues of pagan gods in the supreme court indicitive of the supreme court attempting to force paganism on us all? The watchtower would think so. I think to many people get to worked up about this issue. And the way the country is acting is displaying some brooklyn like behavior IMHO.
