Horror Movie Genre Making a Comeback??

think that horror movies is making a huge comeback??

there hasn't been much of horror movies in the 1990s since the popular horror movie franchise was around in the 30s on up until the 1980s, then it has pretty much dropped out of sight throughout the 1990s.

since jason vs. freddy, seems that young and old alike wants more, so here's another one out due soon... .

Just got out of the Cabin about an hour ago: I liked it but I love all horror films, and if they suck thats ok with me. It is not really scary, its tries to be sort-of-like the evil dead movie. Kind of a homage/dark comedy/satire. Parts of it did make me laugh. And the obligatory boobie shot was grade A stuff. You watch the movie and see little scenes and characters that you might recognize from other movies but if you a fan of the horror movie, its worth 8 buck.

I would score it like this:

Homage: B
Satire: C+
Scary: D
Funny: B+ (but you have to have sick humor)
Overall story B- (only if you are a fan, if not than C-)

I was hoping for more but I dont feel I get ripped off, maybe that will help you a little yiz.

the watchtower society tries to "demonize" the internet.

what damage do you think the internet has caused on the jehovah's witness religion??

It has hurts the society in huge ways. Every witness currently has an entire apostate library at their finger tips. Where as before the society could decieve people with near imunity now every lie is cataloged and saved for future reference and the first sign of doubt.

On a personal level I did not get completly free until I saw Shuans site and some info on the blood issue.

i just watched this documentary tonight and enjoyed it.

it's amazing to me the number of gun-related murders in the us... over 11,000 in one year.

i don't remember the exact figure, but canada, japan, and germany combined had less than 500 gun-related murders.

I dont have the stats but America has a huge problem with gun violence. Way larger than any other country, and I dont think its just because our aim is better. Personally, I think it is related to the violent drug trade, and the large use of meth (violence inducing) drugs here in the US. There probably is not any one reason accounting for the whole problem and I really dont know the answer.

I just think MM has no answers either.

should 16 year olds be allowed to vote ?

i was reading the news and discovered an article about 16 yr. olds who are fighting for their right to vote .

i had to think that if you are old enough to work and pay taxes you had the right to vote otherwise it's taxation without representation .

anyone have any thoughts on this .

I dont believe the average 16 year old has the maturity to understand politics. I think they would just be a group of uninformed voters and we have enough of those already.

You miss my point. MM takes him self seriously, I dont. I dont think other people should either. Even though he probably believes his films are documentaries, they are nothing but fiction.

I think Jasons comments are spot on. It amazes me how people can be shown how everything Moore tapes is a twisted lie yet they still think he has some valid point. I think some people dont care about the argument they just want a serious of excuses to justify their beliefs. Basically, facts are not relevant all some people want is justifications for the preconcivied ideas.

FLORIDA MAN BEATS HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION GETS SUED FOR LEGAL FEES

the retired marine that took on the home owners association for the right to fly his american flag won the case against them and earned the right to fly his flag.

however...he was then sued by the home owners association to be forced to pay their legal fees.

stupid...he's appealling.

If displaying the flag is a type of free speech how could the HOA attempt to restrict it. Would not the HOA be attempting to supersede the Constitution? You know for a contract to be legal it can not violat existing law. It makes me wonder how 'legal' HOAs are.

Maybe the marine should have hung a NAMBLA banner under the flag so the ACLU would defend him.
