Good post Dakota,
The UN is simply the sum of its parts, and most of the nations that make up the UN are crappy little hell holes; so it should be no suprise that the UN does the things it does.

judge declares hung jury in videotaped beating case second officer not guilty of false report charge

after three days of deliberations, the jury couldn't reach a verdict on morse.
Actually an unreasonable use of force would involve attacking someone that was either not attacking you or unable to attack you. It seems that this kid was able to attack the cop with cuffs on so the cop had the right to get the kid to let go of his nuts.
No I am not a pussy or a bully, but if anyone grabbed my nuts yes I would punch them, if feel I am safely in the majority here. Nut grabbing equals automatic ass kicking for 99% of the male population, the other 1% likes it.

Redneck is correct. The little angle was grabbing the cops nuts. I would have clubed him like a baby seal. It has nothing to do with race, it has everything to do with some twit grabbing a cops nuts.

my *personal* opinion is that they should because the people of iraq will probably require some proof.
i don't have any interest in seeing the photos but i believe that their photos will spread throughout the internet and the news media and curiosity will eventually cause me to peek at the photos.
don't know why i would have interest in seeing a couple of lifeless bodies though.
First, if it will help the situation then do it, remember what the Itailians did to Mousilini (sp?). Also, that former Eastern European dictator that they showed his execution on tv, I believe it was romainia. Sometimes when people have been living under the heel of a dictator they need to see him hung from a pole to completly break their chains.
Second, most Americans were upset over the mistreatment of Americans on camera. If the Iraqis had shown pictures of American POW's that were obviously being well treated I dont think many Americans would have cared. The point being was that the issue was not American POW's being shown it was the mistreatment (real or precieved) of Americans that was the issue.
Third, dont compare apples and oranges. Saddams demon seeds are not normal soilders. I would definitally agree that normal iraqi soilders should never be shown in a humiliating light. These guys are a special case. Put their heads on sticks if it will help.

bill clinton on bush uranium line: 'everybody makes mistakes' former president accepts explanation on state of the union

washington (cnn) -- the white house, attacked by critics for a now-retracted line about iraq seeking uranium from africa in president bush's state of the union address, has gotten some surprising support from former president clinton.. "i thought the white house did the right thing in just saying 'we probably shouldn't have said that,' " clinton told cnn's larry king in a phone interview tuesday evening.
I liked Clinton, and I think once again he is going to save the Dems from themselves.

anytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".
i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.
sexual assault, i don't think so.
An interesting aspect to this is that if he does not go to jail this might help his career. Kobe is able to demand only a fraction of the money other NBA stars demand for endorsements because he is seen as having no ‘street cred’. His endorsement for addidas did not move very many units and is seen as an advertising failure. With a dirty little trial, maybe his ‘street cred’ will increase so he can get 100 million dollar deals from companies similar to the deal that this years #1 pick (Levar James I think is his name) got.

if you were the president of the us, would you confront north korea or would you try to make a deal with them to reduce tensions.. north korea warns us: we can produce six atom bombsby rupert cornwell in washington.
16 july 2003 .
the crisis over north korea's nuclear weapons programme deepened yesterday as the north claimed it had made enough plutonium for six atomic bombs, and a former us defence secretary warned that the two countries could be at war by the end of the year.. the latest claim from pyongyang was communicated to the bush administration last week, three months after north korea said it was beginning to reprocess 8,000 spent nuclear fuel rods that were under united nations seal until the un inspectors were ejected from the country at the end of 2002.. us intelligence agencies are now trying to determine whether the boast is true or merely another bluff by the reclusive stalinist regime.. either way, the declaration has pushed the us president a step nearer deciding whether to accede to north korea's demand for direct negotiations - and thus drop his previous insistence that he would never bow to "nuclear blackmail" - or to accelerate plans for a military strike against the north's nuclear installations.. that spectre was raised yesterday by william perry, defence secretary under president clinton, when he told the washington post that the bush administration was "losing control" of the situation.. mr perry is a specialist on korea who helped prepare the military action which mr clinton came close to launching against yongbyon and other key north korean sites in 1994. he now fears that the north is not only close to a nuclear test to show the world it is a nuclear power, but also that it could sell a weapon to a terrorist group for use against the us.. "the nuclear programme now under way in north korea poses an imminent danger of nuclear weapons being detonated in american cities," mr perry said, adding that he had reached that conclusion after talks with bush officials in washington, and with senior figures in china and south korea.. china, reckoned to have the greatest leverage over of kim jong il's renegade state, launched a new effort this week to draw the north into regional talks to defuse the crisis, but mr perry told the washington post that as far as he could see, the "diplomatic track is inconsequential" and going nowhere.. the korean crisis has been largely ignored as washington has focused almost exclusively on iraq.
If you euro's need to understand bullying why not just look at they way you have treated Jews for the past few hundred years. How many synagogs burned in france in the last three years?
