  ok, this is me on iraq again...i'm aggravated.

  why isn't the press reporting all the progress being made over there?

  sure...death and destruction sales newspapers...but the media is now shaping the news.

  Because the target audience of CNN, ABC, ETC, ETC does not want to hear good news on Iraq. They think good news is bad news. Fox is afraid of getting labeled a 'right wing' news station so they are not touching it.

  In short, why is the media only reporting bad news from Iraq. Because the media and the global left only want to read bad news from Iraq and they will accept nothing else. Any victory for Bush is a bitter pill for them to swallow.

  • 1.5 million Afghanistanies have re-entered Afghanistan since the war ended (they are voting with their feet, and they are saying their country is getting better)
  • More people died in Europe from the heat wave last summer than died from that Afghan winter (91-92) that was supposed to be such a human rights crisis
  • You could go on forever, but nearly every wild-ass claim made by the left has come to nothing but facts dont matter to the left its all emotion. Remember the Micheal Moore thread, even when some people were shown its all lies they still stated it had 'value' because he made 'good points' --
  • In short to the left truth does not matter, just propaganda to support the preconcieved ideas

  their thoughts on their visit doesnt seem to merit much mention in mainstream media, i wonder why?

  Because the mainstream press is made up of individuals that are so full of preconceived ideas that they would not know the truth if it bit them in the A$$. Plus they think if they keep creating bad news maybe they can get one of their guys in the white house in 2004.

  Actually, I am not a former military guy so maybe I speak out of turn but I think whenever you have the military making decisions in place of civilian leadership it’s a recipe for disaster. The burden for the morality of military action is placed on a nation’s populace and elected leaders, when the military begins to make their own rules you are one-step away from the military making all the rules. Of course, this is simply a principle and not a hard and fast rule and certain extreme situations would warrant a refusal of action by the soldiers. Like I said it’s a principle and not a rule.

  I am waiting for him to actually state what his plans would be before I form an opinion of the man. So far, Clark has only said four things, 1) he might have voted for the war in Iraq, 2) he would not have voted for the war in Iraq, 3) he is for jobs and education (risky position he is taking here) 4) Bush sucks.
  
  Therefore, until he actually starts detailing a plan I cannot take his candidacy seriously. Interestingly enough Clark at first wanted to run republican, Carl Rove dis’d him so that’s why he is running democrat. It will be interesting to see what Clark’s positions really are; he could be a moderate. For now I am sticking to Lieberman as the only Democrat that can win. Of course he will not get the democratic party nomination because he is a centrist and supports the president in Iraq.

  McClintock hands down makes the most economic sense, but in the leftist heaven that is california he probably cannot get elected. I am leaning towards Arnold, he is business friendly, and not a tax fiend.

This saved the state money for about a month then the energy crises hit. He did nothing for months and then paniced locking in long term contracts AT THE PEAK OF THE ENERGY COST. This man should not have a banking account

  • Gave cops, prison guards (who get paid more than teachers) and chp 38% for their endorsement

  Thailand is up there, so is America, and Japan. It really is sad.

  Thailand is the worlds sex mecca. In certain poor provinces school teachers scout for girls that are considerd attractive and come from improvished families. The school teachers then act as intermediay between the bothel and the girls parents. The girls family are usually on the border of starving and are offered a small fortune (according to time about 1500 usd) for the girl, who they then sell. The girl never knows, and the familiy never complains to the police because they were part of the deal. A sad and complicated issue.

  In America lots of chinese women are bought on 'contract' then they are shipped to america and kept like slaves until their 'contract' is paid off. Which takes much much longer than they were originally led to believe, but because they are illegal they have no recourse and are at the 'contract' holders mercy. Interestingly, these women do not always end up as sex workers but sometimes end up working in sweat shops in coastal states.

  IMHO this crime should carry a long prison term.
