The GB has been on a campaign to keep em busy with anything and everything, mainly as a distraction to keep the troops from thinking about Jesus sitting up on his royal throne for 100 years and not yet producing the royal dump.
Will they try to keep up the pace in 2015? Its going to be pretty hard to keep coming up with historical events, especially since 2015 coincides with exactly nothing. A real letdown may occur in the next few years as more JWs wake up and smell the coffee.

we got called into the dreaded back room after meeting to find two elders wanting to discuss a 'serious' matter with us.
So why are you even playing this game?
Even if you decide to remain in the KH knowing its bullshit, you have a few simple things that can almost protect you from anything. First, you never go into the back room without knowing the subject being discussed first. In this example, you would simply say no brother has come to you with an issue to resolve and until they do so, you don't have anything to say.
My bet would be that no-balls elder would never say a thing knowing what you've stated.

recently i had a conversation with a close witness friend.
i have always viewed him as moderate.

Even when I was 'in' it was somewhat surprising that the borg didn't push home schooling. Lets face it, JW kids free themselves from the cult by seeing that the rest of the world is having fun, and by learning things like evolution in high school.
I really hope there isn't a push going on toward this home school bullshit.

The strategy has shifted from recruitment to retention.
The aging JW population has little to look forward to (death) and most have lost someone already (parents, siblings, even children).
To "keep them in" the WTS is hammering away at this idea of the resurrection. Emotional claptrap is the easiest way to leave a deep impression on the minds of the JW.
Combine that with ever present guilt trips and the JW is simply going to follow orders so they can make it into the new system and see their dead relatives.
