  my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.

  she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.

  she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.

  so talking with my wife last night...i was explaining to her about a conversation i had with a person at work about end times.

  he has a strange belief that some scriptures in isaiah perdict something huge is going to happen in september of 2015. she then states that no one can predict the future only the father knows and he is in a cult.

  lol on the inside.. i then stated "what about 1914 and the dubs perdiction and what it means today" she said no there was never any predictions.

  Update on Fading Question

  the other day i posted my delimma about dealing with family and leaving.. update: my wife came home from the hall sunday (i have now missed about 3 weeks in a row) and the elders now want to schedule a sheperding call.. should i just blow them off, or when they come over (because im sure my wife will have them over even if i decline) just tell them i cant do it right now?.

  Man up and be the head of your house.

  And by that, I don't mean push your wife around, I mean make your own decisions. Do what YOU want to do, if you don't want to meet, then don't. If you do, then do.

  At some point, if the elders are pussies, you are going to have to instruct them to deal with you, and not your wife. They will either not call, or if they do then you can say "no thanks" and hang up the phone.

  Play offense, and you will be surprised how quickly everyone backs off.

  is there any evidence that even the bible isn't just another big religion/government scam?

  would we listen to putin or obama if they told us they have verified new holy writings?

(and if someone else had this kind of thread i am not stealing from you..just never read it).

  They've been in a frenzy of made up shit for a good year now, all to distract from 1914-2014-JacK Shit hasn't happened.

  I think they let things die down a bit, then crank up the propoganda machine in a year or two.

  Need a Game Plan

  i'm not sure what is going on at the convention, but i just got a desperate call from a friend wanting me to attend sunday's morning session.

  last weekend, my mom invited me too.instead of saying something like, "i'm sorry, but i have no intention of going back," and having them completely freak out - i agreed to go to the sunday morning session.

  any recommendations?

  Well, its kind of an appeasement move - going to just make them happy. If you are a long time fader, you have to weigh what will keep you off of the elder's radar.

  If you can make it through the morning without vomiting I guess its a 'do what you have to do' thing.
