39LAST NIGHT..!
by iknowall558 ini finally went out on a 'ministry' work.
with a bit of help, i took all of my anti witness leaflets and put them through the doors of as many witnesses as i could in a 2hour time period.
it was the easiest and most exhilirating thing i've ever done.

Christmas, New Year and Birthday all in one!
by iMARX ini haven't posted for a few weeks because i've been too busy embracing the awesomeness of christmas and new year and my 21st birthday!.
christmas was immense, i spent it with my partner and we had tofurkey (vegetarians .
so when i got back to work, just when i thought all the celebrations were over, colleagues remembered that it was my 21st on the 5th jan and bought my first ever birthday cake!

I haven't posted for a few weeks because I've been too busy embracing the awesomeness of Christmas and New Year and my 21st Birthday!
Christmas was immense, I spent it with my partner and we had Tofurkey (vegetarians ) and the presents I got were awesome. Some were encyclopedias because I've never known about evolution or that the earth has exisited for longer than 6,000 years. And then for New Year I visited my fellow apostate sister in Bristol where we were surrounded by copious amounts of weed and alcohol (exactly what JWs depict a party to be) and I loved it!
So when I got back to work, just when I thought all the celebrations were over, colleagues remembered that it was my 21st on the 5th Jan and bought my first ever birthday cake! I wanted to cry, I was so overwhelmed by the wine and gifts I got. I have a meal/party organised for Friday and I can't fucking wait!!!

Last Nights Mtg. "Demonstrate Personal Interest" (New Bible Students Beware)
by WalkTall insometimes it just hits you how cold and unfeeling this religious corporation is.. last night there was a part in the kingdom ministry about helping new bible studies.
in one paragraph it mentioned how the new student might cut ties with former associates because they are not living by bible principles.
it says that their families might disown them.

Omg that's something I've never really read into properly. I wonder how many sentences like that we can find that when you actually read into them and listen to the words that are used and compare them to other words that could have been used, I bet you find loads of loop holes.
I'm totally gonna make that my mission. After Christmas of course :)

The most apostate thing you could do..?
by iMARX init's taken me a while to start watching films with ghosts in - even a christmas carol - and then eventually i started smoking pot and it didn't bother me at all.
but there are still some things i would have trouble with doing because of the remains of my christian conscience.. anything you guys still haven't brought yourself to do yet?.

Do you know of any JW that gifts this time of year? or for birthdays?
by Aussie Oz ini once new a elder and family that did not celebrate birthdays of course, but did give the kids gifts for their 'personal anniversary' !
on the day.. so i was wondering if some jw do this little trick at christmas time and give it some name twist as well.. oz.

My mum and dad nicked a trick of an elder's family and gave me and my brother a massive present each in the middle of summer and called it "Present Day".
Now my mum's just rang bless her and said she'll give me £20 for after Christmas to buy some shoes with in the sales lol! I'm gonna take it as a Christmas present anyway :)

Lol yeah that's a good point. They always emphasise the free WT and Awake, but then comes the rote learnt "...the Watchtower is based on a contribution service so any donation you wish to make is fine."

Did any of you study the WT lesson throughly without ANY underlining?

This is such a funny thread. I remember amongst all the horrific things that happen in the WTS that the little things seem so funny now. I hated how everyone was judged on whether they had done their watchtower or not.
When my mum hadn't studied her watchtower, but I had (underlined random words) she used to make me swap so it looked like she had done her study!
