I do think there is a problem with tribalism on both ends of the spectrum.
There is lack of willingness on the part of some to genuinely try to understand people who they view as being on 'the other team'. It is by no means unique to this forum.
when i post i try to imagine that i am at a social gathering or sometimes in someone's house as a dinner guest.
that way it is easier to follow the community guidelines and posting rules set out on the site at the bottom of the page.
i wouldn't want to make a fool of myself in public.

Is it accurate to connect the sale of kingdom halls to an ongoing shortfall in income?

up to 85 of these sharia law courts operate in britain.
creepy!.
If Jeremy Corbyn ever becomes PM the rise of sharia courts with full authority of the law is a certainty.
i happened to be in my old town last week, i decided to drive past my old kh in n.wales,.
to my suprise there was a large 'for sale' sign hanging off it!.
this is a semi-remote area with the nearest other kh's a good 30 mins in every direction.
It's surprising they are selling halls in rural areas!
If they aren't building anything new nearby many JWs will just stop attending.

These 'courts' have no more legal force in the UK than a JW judicial committee.
If Muslims want to submit to the misogynistic opinions other Muslim elders in civil matters that's up to them.

the royalcollege of pysicians (rcp) has dropped its 13 year opposition to the concept of helping terminally .
ill patients die.
In principle I agree with the legalisation of assisted dying but I acknowledge that there are some valid 'slippery-slope' arguments.
this is for those who are interested in bible study.. the jehovah's witnesses claim that only the father is god, and thus teach he was the saviour in the old testament.
the bible teaches that god says "there is no saviour beside me".
therefore how is it, that the lord jesus christ is called the saviour of the world?.
In the new testament we see a gradual process of turning Jesus the man into "god the son".
Paul - resurrection
Mark - baptism
Matthew - conception/birth
John - pre-human
Early christians found themselves worshipping Jesus in practice but were embarrassed by what amounted to polytheism. The doctrine of the trinity with its convoluted waffle about substance and essence, and the endless arguments about terms like, ousia, homoousios, hypostasis etc is risible.
It is impossible to state the trinity simply in your own words without committing a heresy. Go ahead and try it.

If people exist in three parts spirit, soul and body; and if we are created in his image, why can't God have three manifestations of the same essence? - Sea Breeze
And in one sentence you have committed two heresies — partialism and modalism.
It's as if trinitarians don't understand the trinity. Who would have thought it?
