  even if you are young and heathy there are very good reasons to fear this disease and take drastic actions to avoid it individually, and halt it together as communities.

  not only would it be traumatic as a society to lose so many old and unwell family members and friends, but survivors of the disease may suffer significant health problems in the future.

  survivors of the first sars virus in 2003 have suffered significant lung problems.

  if the holy spirit is an "active force", how can it be grieved (ephesians 4:30)?.

  in other words, according to the jw's, one can make jehovah's "force" sorrowful?

  this is an example of how the jw leaders have perverted the gospel in translation, and have put the jw's in a position in which they must perform intellectual gymnastics in order to maintain their false position.

  I have only quite recently decided to educate myself about philosophy. I am finding it fascinating. So far I am wrestling with two books by Anthony Gottlieb The Dream of Reason and The Dream of Enlightenment.

  It's amazing to see the same arguments being played out again and again over centuries.

  There was also an anti-Enlightenment movement that can be traced from Emmanuel Kant via all the way to postmodern philosophers like Michel Foucault and Jacques Derrida.

  We see it regularly on this forum when posters smugly proclaim that nobody really knows anything about reality.

  This theme of deep scepticism might be excusable in the pre-Socratics but it is just lazy posturing in the post-enlightenment world.

  the book of hebrews declare that jesus is god in this verse.

  ) by the sales staff's expressions when i politely refuse their request for my postcode!.

  i simply say to them, "that's ok, it's just a cash sale.

  I decided to give in and enlist at Screwfix. It came in handy one time when my air ratchet went faulty and I had lost the paper receipt. But I agree most times (Mountain Warehouse are similar) I politely refuse.
