no more running to the bank on payday to catch the bank before it closes
I don't miss that either. The long lines, waiting to get up there to deposit your check and to check your balance.
how did you pay your bills?
did you sit down at your desk and write out a check for each bill?
did you call the bill company and make a payment?.

and, yes, I wrote a check for each bill. A time-consuming process that I don't miss at all.
Me too, it was time-consuming... having to write out the amounts, label the envelope, lick it/seal it, put a stamp on it, and take it to the mail box. I thought it was fantastic when the post office came out with sticky stamps! Times have changed!

Did you just get in the car and ride to each company and make your payments?
Do you do more online shopping now? Or do you still prefer to go to the store to get clothing and other items that you can buy online?

i don't understand... with all the people who are contra-watchtower - i mean all the books, all the websites, all the forums dedicated to "exposing" the watchtower "truth" - why has no one group actually just gone ahead and really exposed it?.
all the proceeds from crisis of conscience or whatever other books (many on amazon.com) or whatever spare money and time people have to create these forums for people of varying degrees of craziness and experience could all go towards one simple solution: infiltrate the governing body "enclave" meeting room with bugged mics and a hidden camera.
really, why hasn't anyone thought of that?

This is what Raymond Franz, a Governing Body member, did with the book "Crisis of Conscience". When people have been indoctrinated, Jesus Christ himself telling them that the religion is a fraud wouldn't work.
i was told when i hit thirty and was catastrophising, "just wait till you are 40, it just gets better.".
ha!.
i am fifty in a few weeks.
I turned fifty last November! *&^%! Sheesh! I know how you feel. I keep asking myself why did I join that stupid religion!?... Anyway, you're not alone.
yesterday was the day my family went out to the cemetary in my dad's home town to clean up the headstone and leave flowers and such.
now this town is small and rural.
afterwards we went back to the community center for the annual potluck.
I guess, it's illegal to have them bury me in my backyard. "Ashes to ashes. . .dust to dust", pour some dirt on a trunk, and that's it.

I think they should play whatever you liked. A side note here: I told my daughters not to bury me in a dress. I hate dresses.
He got to do a lot of things that some of us never will get to do; but he also had to deal with some things that none of never will have to deal with. I think it's sad. I hope that he's in a better place.
i guess i'm a sci-fi person, so...i like that kind of stuff and it's rare to see it in mainstream tv.
in memory of the following shows that got axed:.
heroes.
This True Blood minisode is hilarious. No blood and gore. Pam and Eric are interviewing dancers for the club.
