why is 'pioneering' a 'privilege' when every jw goes out in ministry anyway.
even those who have lost privileges, or been disciplined, or been reinstated after being disfellowshipped are still expected to go out in the ministry.

The pioneers in the Cong I grew up in were SNOBS. My family was "weak" and so I was never allowed to go in service with the pioneers, I wasn't "strong" enough to do so. (I always had to go out in service w/ the other weak ones AKA: uncool poor persons.) Like I had to prove myself just becasue my dad stopped going to the meetings due to health reasons. I never did "feel the love." Oh, and the best part was when the Pioneers started complaineg to the elders about lack of money "contrabutions" form the other publishers they trucked around in their cars. They wanted gas money. From EVERYONE. My family was too poor so I had stopped going in service for a while.

There were three on my JC. I was 17 (and very sexually ignorant.) Two were very sweet well meaning men, the other was an old PERVERT. He asked me deeply intamite sexual details of acts I never even heard of while the other two elders just sat there in shock. Serioulsly, they looked like deer in headlights. I was mortified! I didn't even know how to answer these questions so I just clammed up and sat there as this nasty man kept on questiong me about sexual acts all the while leaning closer and closer toward me rubbing his hands together. I was disfellowshipped for being "uncoorprative" and commiting fornication. I was 17 and "in love" w/ a young man. All that was done between us was some innoproapiate touching. Is that a rezson to be DF'd??? I didn't think so. Plus I was repentent. BUT they DF'd me anyway. I guess I couldn't provide enought "juicy" details for that pervert. He's still an elder by the way. I'm waitin for him to croak before I atempt to go back again (I've tried three times.) I miss the friends and family I had. I think If I go back I can "fade" and keep my friends and family.... but it's been 10 years so who knows?

Hello, I am totally new on here. Mine was good, how about yours?
I am still feeling a little weird or out of place during ALL holidays. I have beed DF'd for 10 years now but only recently have I realized that JW's might not have the truth after all...
Now I'm a mess trying to sort out what is fact and what is fiction. Life is so confusing! I am just tryignt o enjoy my family and teach my children love and understanding. My husband is "worldy" as they say but he has been my rock throught all of this.
Anyway, this has been the first Christmas that I sat back and actually enjoyed. I did have a nagging feelign og guilt but I let the joy of the Holiday override that feeling. It was nice. : )
