i met you a long time ago when you came to my house with your smiling faces, your neat clothes, and your soft voices, and a bible tucked neatly under your arm.

you told me many beautiful stories of a "paradise earth," and a "righteous new system" which would be established shortly.

Instant dinner party

here's the scenario......... it's friday evening and you've arrived home from work, ready to enjoy the night at home watching a movie.

your home is averagely tidy and clean, your fridge and cupboards contain the food and drink they're normally stocked with, nothing special.. at 7pm the doorbell rings.

you open the door and two couples are standing there, friends of yours that two weeks ago you invited over for supper tonight.

It's Friday evening and you've arrived home from work, ready to enjoy the night at home watching a movie. Your home is averagely tidy and clean, your fridge and cupboards contain the food and drink they're normally stocked with, nothing special.

At 7pm the doorbell rings. You open the door and two couples are standing there, friends of yours that two weeks ago you invited over for supper tonight. You know them all well enough for the *surprise* dinner party to be fairly casual, but not well enough to say "Oh shit, we completely forgot you were all coming!"

While they are enjoying their welcome drinks in your living room/garden/on your patio, you have about 5 minutes to escape to prepare the meal, perhaps another 15 minutes for cooking/boiling/baking while you enjoy a drink and chat with them, and then 5 minutes for throwing it all together.

What would you make for your instant dinner party, using only what you usually have in the kitchen, so that they'd never suspect that you'd forgotten about the invitation?

if you discover, while getting to know a potential partner, that they have cheated on a previous partner........ don't touch them.

run run run.. in my opinion a cheat remains a cheat.

How about "once a liar, always a liar"?

It's not "good" to cheat but believing that everyone who has cheated is forever untrustworthy is dumb.

Minimus? What? Then our definitions of cheating shall forever remain different. Humans lie; that is another topic but nobody has NEVER lied. However many people have never cheated, and will never cheat, on a lifetime partner.

Putting your dick into somebody other than the person you have vowed to be sexually faithful to is a little bit different. Besides the emotional issues there are serious sexual health concerns. Please don't confuse the two topics, thanks Minimus.

Oh please, I have no agenda.

I enjoy the conversation, please continue. Some interesting thoughts have emerged here and I am pleased that both former cheaters and never-cheaters have shared their experiences.
