Whats the most bizzare way a JW has ever tried to "encourage" you?

in my case it was my best freind in the cong who decided to encourage me to answer up at the wt by... refusing to talk to me afterwards if i hadn't answered up!

The word "encourage" is misused in the WT lexicon. Encouragement implies motivating someone to do something of their own free will, but in WT Land its meaning is not the same.
That's why the expression "I want to encourage you...." is so common.
Elder: "I want to encourage you to pioneer/reach out/attend more meetings/clean the hall/whatever."
Publisher: "Okay, if you want to encourage me, then encourage me."
Elder: "I want to encourage you to...." (Rinse and repeat.)
Publisher: "Okay, encourage me."
Elder: "I'm encouraging you."
Publisher: "No, you're not encouraging me yet. You said you want to encourage me. Please go ahead and encourage me."
Elder: "This is encouragement."

They wanted me to just meet other men. Of course, their lies are "It's not [necessarily] permanent. The word "not" should have been removed--they updated it another year later, at which point I started skipping the a$$emblies altogether.

10 miles there and 10 miles back to work is a long way to go and takes a big chunk of time.
White Dove, this is perhaps the core of the issue. I personally agree this is an unreasonable request, and I would have declined too.
Shouldn't your response have been "No, I can't do a 20 mile round trip during a working day"? Instead you chose to believe he wanted to have sex with you in the bushes.

do you interact with deaf people on a daily basis, to know what they do or don't do ?

do you know white dove personally or from somewhere else, if you do, I stand to be corrected.
Wasblind, I don't think of deaf people as "they". I don't think of Chinese people as "they". I don't think of black people as "they".
Everyone has a unique personality, but many people have personality disorders to some extent. In the case of White Dove I believe her personality disorder is Drama Queen, but I'm not sure how that translates in the DSM-IV.
I don't know WD in real life. Last time I checked, that wasn't a prerequisite to responding on a thread. As most of us do on forums like this, I form my opinions based on posts people choose to make.

Not sure what you mean about the Imagination thing, but I don't smoke anything.
People that are deaf don't necessarily "walk around with a victim mentality". Except White Dove on here, but she really should sort that out, quite soon.

I have known White Dove in real life, she is anything but a drama queen. Her family was in our book study and she has traveled to assamblies with my family. She was always very quiet and never did anything to draw attention to herself.
I take complete responsibility for first calling White Dove a drama queen.
On this forum she is a drama queen. At the very least, on this thread she demonstrates an escalation of a man (to whom she handed her email address at Taco Bell) into someone who wants to have sex with her at a lake after feeding the ducks. WTF?
I stand by "drama queen", and I don't think that White Dove being "very quiet" at the book study or in your car on the way to the assembly does any service to her claim that a man wants to have sex with her in a park.

Not sure what signals you mean.
Perhaps that you emailed him first, and subsequently emailed him again - some out-there emails - to imply that the park wasn't as appropriate as a coffee franchise for a first meeting.
It is clear that you engaged in a bit of a power play about it. I picked up some crazy lady signals from that, but not only that.
Anyway, if you were still deciding what to do, I would suggest that you take Egg, and possibly a dog if you have one, for a walk in the park with this man. However I think you've firmly shut the door on any potential friendship with him.
Friendships can turn into relationships. (Real relationships, not sex in the park.)
It happens all the time.
