@Honesty I don't think they Studies in the Scriptures is "that" apostate anymore.
The society wasn't afraid to mention it and show the winged sun disc in their latest dvd.
And I do happen to have the old green bible, it's still in the garage however and I'll probably dig it out tomorrow.
Another thing i forgot to mention is that I'm finding bits and pieces of rutherfords rainbow series.
Light 1, Light 2, Vindication, Children, Preperation, enemies.
Other books are The truth that leads to eternal life, and Paradise restored.
I'm kinda sloppy at searching but if anyone can find me any usefull bits from any of those books it'd be helpful!
And note to those that throw out old books, sure I'm with you 100% throw out those damn watchtower and awakes, but there are a few books you should keep just for these purposes. I tried showing people scans, pdfs, and they wont believe it and just say "You faked that, the society would never say that." It's a total different reaction when they have the actual book in their hand.
Thx in advance!

Ray Franz's famous Aid to bible understanding.
and a little bill advertising a WTS Cable access tv SHOW!?
If anyone can tell me how to use any of this to an apostates advange please respond!
I know Thy kingdom come has so many damn pyrmids in there to scare the hell out of any dub, but I'm looking for really good striking quotes I could use. -

ONE book they printed shoots them down -which one do you think it is?
by hamsterbait inremember deut.18 "when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word does not come true, that is the word jehovah did not speak.".
also "the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word i have not commanded.. must die.".
"the nations shall know that i am jehovah" book said quite plainly on p 236(?

Millions now living will never die - That's a good one, but I remember as of 2009 they changed the title of it. They now quote it as "Millions now living MAY never die" So keep your eyes out for that.
Most damning thing they wrote? Hmm. I'd have to go with The Proclaimers since most people have access to it and it mentions Beth Sarim, Christmas, and other goodies. -

Please reccommend older Watchtower publciations for stumbling purposes
by TheStumbler infirst time poster here but i've been lurking a while.. i have a question that i was hoping some of the watchtower historians might be able to answer.
if a witness was willing to read some of the organisation's older publications, what books would you get them to read and how do i get these books?.
my family are witnesses and my father is an elder.

Questions questions questions!
NEVER say the witnesses are wrong, about anything. They will go into instant defense mode.
You have to make themselfs question the organisation, and let them discover what is happening.
For starters, ask him what he thinks about the generation, or the rising amount in cup drinkers at the memorial.
The one statement that makes them think and open their minds is this. Just say "If I follow everything that the Bible students wrote under Russel, I'd be a apostate today" Make him realize that Russel's religion is a completely different religion from Rutherfords. -

If God truly loved humans...why not reveal himself ? So that they could make an informed decision ?
by smiddy inwe learn from the bible that god spoke to adam ,then certain faithful ones, then after moses only the preisthood that was established, and individuals, raised as prophets, and this by the way is only a a small select group on the planet.never mind about other groups of humans.
fastforward to the era of christ ,again, god is only dealing with a small select group to advise and admonish.during the time from moses to christ he was only dealing with what became one small nation.the rest of humankind were left to their own devices.fastforward down to this 21st century we have no guidance/instruction/prophets to instruct or guide us.
( i know this is where jw`s would say but we have been preaching & teaching you god`s truths since 1879 ) all i can say their, is take your head out of the sand and look at all the changes ,corrections adjustments,re-adjustments,reversals,and failed expectations of prophecy you have published over this last century )so as to my question why hasn`t the god of the universe revealed himself to all humans of every race on all continents instead of just a small select group, if he truly was interested in the human race.

I think we would loose the abilty of free will in a way. Imagine if Jehovah was our actual father. You'll tend to behavior better around your dad then around your school friends, so therefore putting a limit on your "bad" behavior.
So if we know for sure that god is watching us, you wont act as free as you normally do.
Make sense of that. :) -

How long until the WT Society gives "new light" about the Internet?
by DagothUr inthe watchtower and awake have given some warnings in the past concerning materials available via the internet.
apostate and porn sites, violent games, useless and frivolous entertainment, and so on.
for now, they are contended with just giving friendly warnings.

Imagine if they install spyware software on your pc with new Watchtower libraries. I wouldn't put it past them

Sue? Umm... maybe. The WBTS recently got it's panties in a knot and started shutting down some apostate websites, apparently for copyright infringement. But slander? I don't think so.

I knew some sister that corrected some other sister when she said "Damn it" after she spilled her coffee. It's kinda sad when you're an adult and like the poster above mentioned say KAH KAH. Swearing sure is bad language but like everything there is correct places to use it. Real people dont talk like Ned Flanders lol

Ground Zero Mosque
by minimus indo you agree that there should not be a mosque in the area that was wiped out by muslim extremists?
on the view, it was discussed with bill o'reilly and the ladies of the view.
joy behar and whoopie flipped because bill said "muslims" were responsible for the carnage there and it would not be appropriate for a mosque in that area.. what do you think?.

@beksbks I worked with a number of muslims over the years. They are nice friendly people. But one day I had some guy talking to me at work calling the Taliban.. "freedom fighters" And you're right. There are only a small number of radicals. But they have a huge fanbase. You might not be a player of a certain sport, but that doesn't mean you can't be a fan of it.
