When was this on? Which SBS? Do you know if it will be repeated? Many thanks.

Just watched 'knocking' Doco on JW on SBS TV. an irony
by Aussie Oz injust watched this documentary on our local tv.
among all the issues touched on, one really stood out to me.. the elderly jw man, who survived the concentration camps as a jew, who became a jw after observing them in the camp was reuniting his two sides of family.
the jw and his jewish daughters family.

Did anyone get this emailed to them?
by stuckinlimbo inthis was emailed to me a couple of years ago so i realise i am posting this rather late but thought it interesting all the same.
it shows how the witnesses can use something to prove their cause, blind to the fact it is actually against them!
the email was a copy of a ny times advert for an organisation against religion being involved in secular society, however, witnesses somehow fail to remember that they are an organised religion and a very controlling one at that.

Off subject but I Just wanted to point out the comment about "can't you just feel things taking place". This is such baseless, emotional drivel, that I hated even when I believed. How can one "feel" things taking place. Either "things" (which conveniently implies real signs without the bother of specifying signs that can actually be proven/disproven) are happening on Earth or not.

I'm back
by stuckinlimbo ini was breakingfree, but have forgotten my password and no longer have access to the email address that was attached to that account, which i haven't used for over a year (i have just been reading as a guest and not posting).
my new name is probably more appropriate, i don't see myself being able to break completely free for some time.
me and my hubby are out (inactive, successfully faded) but rest of the family in and very devout.

The ONE 'sin' I NEVER heard of in all my time as a JW . . . . .
by nicolaou ini never heard of any sister having an abortion - doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that i never heard of one.. i've personally known child abusers, closet gays, drunks and thieves all within my time at just 2 congregations.
i know one brother who hid the fact he had blood transfusions at a critical time.
now i'm certainly not lumping in an abortion with acts of abuse or dishonesty, and for the record i don't consider it a 'sin' (whatever that is).

I know I'm a month late hear but I thought it interesting that I have a newspaper article on my bookshelf about a woman who gave birth (via c-section of course) to a baby who grew in the fallopian tube. Full term healthy baby. So it's happened at least once. Its crazy that it was never picked up during routine checks, but just as well as she would have been advised to have the tube removed, which would have been the correct advice based on the fact that a tubal pregnancy resulting in a live birth is practically unheard of and rupture of the fallpian tube can kill the mother very quickly. However in this case mother and baby are healthy and very very lucky.

For just $50 to $80 a month over the next five years...
by JimmyPage in... you too can attend an international district convention!
start saving now and maybe you can hold up a sign saying, "don't give up!
we're so close.

Vomit...
Are you for real?? Why are they encouraging the brothers to plan 5 years ahead when the end is soooo close? A university education takes 3 years...

Me and my hubby are out (inactive, successfully faded) but rest of the family in and very devout. I feel sorry for my parents who are good people who sincerely believe, yet am also angry at them for affecting my life in such a significant way (massive understatement) even though I have left. At the same time, I don't want to hurt them by DA because they do so much for me and are good people (apart from the brainwash thing).
So hello again. A lot of you have unknowingly given me much needed support over these past few years
