I don't have the Word commentary on 2Kings but in my Tyndale Commentary on 1&2 Kings, Donald J. Wiseman confirms that in 2 Kings 10:18-27, "There may be a oral play on words between `worship' (`abad) and `slaughter' ('ibbad), as in verse 19."
But the point is that Jehu put to death "the worshipers of Ba´al" (vv.19,21,22,23 NWT). But what the Watchtower calls "the worshipers of Ba´al" are the worshippers of Jesus! So out of their own mouth they are equating Jesus with Ba´al. They will have to explain that to Jesus when they stand before Him at the Last Judgement (Jn 5:26-27; Act 10:41-42; 17:31; Rom 2:16; 2Cor 5:10; 2Tim 4:1).
No doubt "the worshipers of Ba´al" sincerely believed that the worshippers of Yahweh were the apostates, when actually the boot was on the other foot!

Victoria, Australia: WTBTS and GB of JWs have shown themselves to be "GUILTY" respecting previous noncompliance with Working With Children Laws
by AndersonsInfo inthe watch tower society, the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses, the faithful and discreet slave, and the governing body of jehovah's witnesses, last week issued a "special" letter to all bodies of elders in the state of victoria instructing them to immediately apply for their working with children licenses and to comply with child protection laws.
the letter includes instructions that the contents are not to be made public or shared with members of the congregation.. .
this means an investigation authorized by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and initiated by lawyers representing the watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, inc. have concluded that the victorian working with children act 2005 and the associated child protection laws do indeed apply to all elders serving in congregations throughout the state of victoria both in the public ministry and in their internal ministry, which includes the theocratic ministry school.. .

I am a registered teacher in Western Australia and I have a Working with Children's card, as is mandatory for all who work with children in most Australian States, i.e. Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia.
The WWC is more strict than the National Criminal History Check which many employers in Australia now insist on. The WWC considers not just convictions for child-related crimes, but also allegations, acquittals and spent convictions (where one is found guilty but no penalty is imposed). A worker with children who has had an allegation made against him/her is not necessarily denied a WWC card. But if there is a pattern of allegations, or "not guilty" verdicts, then the accused would almost certainly be denied a WWC and then could not work with children who are not their own in that State. The rationale is that the protection of children is paramount, and overrides the normal "innocent until proven guilty" principle.
The problem for the Watchtower is that Victoria (like Western Australia and presumably those other WWC States) has legislation that makes it mandatory for doctors, nurses, teachers and police officers to report to the relevant Department for Child Protection any instances of abuse (especially sexual, but also physical and emotional) against children that they become aware of, or have grounds to suspect, even when off-duty. Failure to do so carries major penalties.
So any doctor, nurse, teacher or police officer in an Australian State with WWC laws, who becomes aware that a JW child may have been abused, will have to report it, and then there must be an investigation of the allegations. A JW body of elders which then tries to cover that up, is going to find itself facing criminal charges and if found guilty, even if they escape a fine or prison term, will probably not be able to come in contact with children again who are not their own.
If child-beatings, emotional bullying, and sexual abuse are features of life behind the Australian "Watchtower curtain," then it is difficult to see how this `time-bomb' will not eventually explode into public knowledge. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out in the future!

JWs do put more faith in the WT than the Bible. An example is an individual JW being judged by judicial committee of elders for celebrating a birthday, Christmas or Easter.
The JW's own Bible, the NWT states in Rom 14:5 "One [man] judges one day as above another; another [man] judges one day as all others; let each [man] be fully convinced in his own mind" that each individual is free to regard "ONE DAY as above another," which includes birthdays, Christmas and/or Easter.
And Col 2:16 NWT states: "Therefore let no man judge YOU in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival or of an observance of the new moon or of a sabbath." In the context "festival" means RELIGIOUS festival, and therefore the Bible here states that NO MAN is allowed to judge a Christian in respect of observing a religious festival, which also includes celebrating the birth of Christ (Christmas) or His death and resurrection (Easter).
So by its policy and practice of judging JWs for observing birthdays, Christmas and Easter, the WT DOES place itself above the Bible, even its own NWT.
