  i watched a remake of the 1960s show "the prisoner" on saturday night , it was really good but i got a bit of de ja vu !

  it reminded me of dubby land , with unquestioning obediance , nothing else out there !

  , not knowing who to trust etc , im not old enough to remember the 1960s one so what was going on?

  this was always one of the main justifications for me in leaving the wt behind.

  i was just wondering how many of you have ever reasoned in the same way.. i have often wondered how jesus christ would react if he came back to the earth now and how he would view the organisation who claim to represent his standards?.

  would jesus really want to be associated with paedophilia, false prophecies, shunning, the destruction of families, lies, untruths, hypocritical leaders and the lack of love amongst members?.

  jesus said his yoke was kindly and light.. dubs brag their religion is the "hardest religion in the world.".

  the bible tells children to honor their parents.. the wts tells children to betray their parents.. if dubs really live in a "spiritual paradise," why do their lives have to be threatened to stay in it?.

  Setting up trust – any suggestions on how to handle our JW daughter?

  we set up a trust a few years ago but have an appointment with our attorney later this month to make sure it is current and make any changes necessary.

  originally we had our daughter and our two sons to share equally.

  now i feel that it should not be equal.

  Most Annoying Things That Happen At JW Meetings

  today i was remembering how angry i used to get at the meetings and all the little irritations that in the end would just make my blood boil these included:.

  prayers that go on foreverstudy or wt conductors still taking comments when its clear that the point has been covered 20 times alreadymeetings over running by more than 5 minsmy favourite was this one elder who would play guess the point i am thinking of.

  he would keep rephrasing the question from the wt until someone would bring up the point he was thinking of.

  Others turning up or breathing, My Mother inlaw answering, as she never knew when to stop and give back the mic People who lived in the next street from the KH who were late to every meeting. A Sister who would give you a look that killed because you were sitting in her seat And brother Perv who did the mic and liked to look down the sisters tops.

  i look back now and think what the hell was wrong with me?

  it's just so crazy to be so blind.

  everytime, i'd think that this or that wasn't quite right, i'd think i was committing blasphemy.. it's sad to know that's why many people are still stuck in that religion..
