by brother Dwes ini was raised in the truth since the age of 6 and at the age of 16 i was close to getting baptisted by then i recieved a chance to play college footbal so i fail off, but over the past year i've been striving to finally get dipped and i am at the point in my life were i've been there and seen it all, now i want my future wife to be a dedicated , baptisted servant of jehovah.

Why sould an omnipotent, omniscient, & omnibenevolent god tell his people to bash babies heads out against rocks & then tell them to be peaceful & "turn the other cheek" "love your enemy"? If he was omniscient, why did'nt he see the whole "satan thing" coming, & if he did, why the whole cosmic bar bet over sovreignty? Would'nt that make him an accomplice to Satans crimes? It's irreconcilable, just like your question donkey, because the judeo-christian view of god is inherently flawed.

Francois, I know exactly what you mean, I went w/ my mom as a worldly "witness" to help her out in a meeting w/ the circuit overseer & local elders. Well, one of the elders said something, the CO asked me if it was true, & I said, "No, he's lying". This guy jumps up in my face, & starts screamin at me, Saying"You sit down! You be Quiet & show me some respect!" So I sez, #1, Respect is something that is earned, & your contemptible, #2, I AM sitting down, your the one yelling, I am NOT subject to your commands as I do not claim to be a Jw, & I resent you telling me to lie about your behavior. He looked like such an idiot that even the CO admonished him. It was beautiful. He was so stunned that I actually talked back, being so used to having people kowtow, that he did'nt know what to do!

Other religions are abusive too.,
by wednesday ini know jw's are abusive psychologicaly to their members, however so are other churches.
case in point, i knew a woman who would not marry b/c the pope said not to use birth control.
she did not want children, and she could not find it within herself to go against the pope.

Hey, LB, Yeah, my dad punched a couple people as an ms/elder. All justifiably. Yeah, he was a dub, but had a pretty good sense of right & wrong, pacifism nonetheless. One time he was conducting book study @ a relatively new jw ladys house (this was in the early 70's) & her estranged husband came home drunk saying "send her out, I'm gonna kick her ass" and my dad said," You can come in & study the bible w/ us or go away until you could be nice" So this guy says, "You mutherf--ker, I'm gon..WHAM! My dad knocked him out, came back in & asked the question part of the study. Another time he went to another cong. 150 mi. away to give the public talk, saw a girl he'd grown up w/ beaten black & blue by her new husband. He gave the talk, & during the 15 min. intermission(again, early 70's) Beat the guy nearly unconcious, & said your lucky I found out before her dad, or you'd be dead, now we're taking her home, & if you try to contact her, you will be. My dad was kinda unconventional.

The reason I ask is my df'd mom was evicting a jw for various reasons. This jw elder assaulted her, screaming all the while, "Your on our propitty, We git ta kill ya! While his wife ran out w/ a hammer. She got permanent nerve damage in her wrists from this assault. Nice peaceful people, huh? Also, aguy on the same body of elders raised a fist to me, this was long after I had left, but I stepped in about an in. from his nose & said, oh please, please hit me, just once! He thought better of it & backed off, the fat f*&k
