Thanks for looking that up. I'll re read it when I get home. I always had a problem with Jesus saying that god had forsaken him and then someone told me he was quoting scripture and I was so happy and I don't know why. renewed faith or something. anyway I'm happy to pass it on. Funny coming from a worldly guy hahaha.

Quite an interesting post. there are truths in it and in the post by A Guest. But when Christ said on the cross (stake or whatever) My God My God why have you forsaken me. He was actually quoting scripture from errr Psalms I think, Anyone have a referance bible handy?? I'm at work and don't have one here. But it is interesting to read the whole passage he was quoting and then see if he believed he was being forsaken.

It's hard to say I'm going thru the same thing with my wife. I have tried to show her things but you can't show anyone anything if they keep their eyes closed.
I am trying to go really slow and always do it in a loving manner no more yelling and pleading. I try to show my love as much as possible and let god work it out. I told her a month or so ago Eventually we will believe the exact same thing. It might be a very logn time but it's inevitable.

A couple of ??'s
by JG insince my wife has been attending meetings recently, and i have been going with her i have noticed a change.. i mentioned i thought it was weird that after the sun talk and before watchtower study they would announce the number of people who had attended and invite them to stay for the wt study.
since i mentioned this to an elder it has stopped.
i have never heard it again.

Can JWs attend other churches?
by SusanHere ini have an odd situation that came up during a recent visit by my long-time jw sister.
on sunday she agreed to attend our meetings (lds) with us "to see how other churches do things".
i was totally blown away.

My wife goes to church with me and the elders hate it but I am the head of the house and If the kids don't go then they will never see the inside of a KH. She goes with the kids. We'll see how long that lasts before the elders tell her she can't go. It'll bite em in the arse cause she has a little prob with authority figures telling her what to do.
