Just Heard Some Shocking News

a predatory jw paedophile micheal porter (uk) who has a 15 year record of abuse including the rape of his own baby but somehow evaded jail now is a member of my old congregation;wimbledon.

words fail me, to think of the years of shunning that these idiots have heaped upon me even by my own family and this piece of shit was seen a this years memorial laughing and joking with the congregation.

strange that this news story slipped passed me when it was broadcast by the british media in 2007..

Folks.. this guy was tried 1/2 a mile down the road to me.

The JW's were praised by the Police for the way they dealt with this case. The judge was likewise convinced that he was contrite.

We are all disgusted by such abomination, and if the law was in our hands no doubt we would all like to express what we would like to do with such low life.

According to all "Christian" religions, God forgives the repentant sinner, even for the most heinous crimes.. if the person "turns around".

Or, do you want anarchy and mob rule? EVERY religious sub set is infested with this problem (the Mormons in this city have a track record of wife swapping and sex with under aged kids - they have to clean out their house too)...

Maybe our judgment should be tempered with reason.. take each case on merit.

For those growing up with a non-JW parent

just curious to hear from those that have gone through a similar situation.

my dad was extremely opposed to jw's and went balistic when my mom converted.

he did everything in his power to keep us from becoming witnesses, (forcing us to stay home from meetings, forcing us to go to church with him on holidays) but i think that worked against him, because we viewed it as persecution.. here is my question though.

Brilliant threat JWProtest: My Sister and I grew up in a home where my Father was super zealous and my Mother opposed... violently.

Everything boomeranged.. Dad spoke with his fists as a Merchant Seaman and I still have memory of Mom sitting on the stairwell in tears where she had taken a beating. Then the JW's called.. and the roles reversed.

Mom wrote "NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES" across the front door with a red hot poker, she poured a cup of tea all over one of the servants that called to try and resolve the domestic nightmare that ensued.. my sister could not live up to the exacting standards of the Religion.. both she and mother tried taking their lives.

Festivities became a compromise, with Dad now an Elder, refusing to put up decorations.. me taking a stand and my sister helping Mom with the bunting. Mom refused to celebrate their wedding anniversary and took us off in hiding to our Aunt in attempt to get us away from our Father.

The persecution by Mom got so bad that I took solace in my own little perceived world of the WT, much to my Father's joy and pride.. and we lived in this uneasy world of compromise and polyphonambulism, that haunts us to this day.

I am out now.. having encountered much in the way of hypocrisy and double standards in the WT organisation. There is a depressed peace in the family, that will never heal. My sister tried for a third time to end her life in Australia (Perth) three years ago.. and finally followed her husbands instruction not to persue her renewed studies with the JW's. She is the apple of Dad's eye.

There is so much hurt. Believe me it has helped me hold the hand and absorb the tears of many who have been put through this.

The quicksand of JW moving theology and domination of the mind, has a lot to answer for.

Yet, bros and sis (as were) I still love you so, so much.

Our Southern Friends- Are you Pissed about the Oil Spill? I Know I Am ...... !

......... and i live out here in northern california !

i mean , they go to all that humungous labor, build a huge box to put over the oil gushing out and wham 5,000 ft. deep it gets clogged with ice crystals.

now they are talking about a couple other alternatives in the news- all the while today haliburton, bp, and other reps are meeting with federal officials getting into a pissing match and fight over who is responsible for the spill ?

I wonder if any of us still hold to the old addage: "He will bring to ruin those who ruin the Earth"...?? Or, maybe for the spiritually disenfranchised could we accept.. "She (mother Earth/Nature) will bring to ruin those who ruin the Earth"..? Whatever our stance, internationally, we have to stop the greed that drives our consumerism and current Economic season, and distribute the wealth of Mother Earth fairly, replacing all we accept from her, and more so.

Somehow, it will take intervention or some sort to rectify all this sadness and exploitaiton.. I guess many of us held the faith that an omnipotent being would do so. I, for one, cannot let that foundation belief go.. even after 25 years of exit.

I have every sympathy with those affected by this environmental tragedy.. to my distant (JW) friends from the early '80's and beautiful Bayoux of Theodore Alabama, and the beautiful time they gave me there. Thank you.

But, I am also mindful of my youth when the U.S Supertanker Torrey Canyon floundered off our beautiful Cornish shores, creating an horrific environmental catastrophe in March 1967.

By the way did you know that a Mr Ted Hunnings gave the order for the R.A.F to bomb the ship. It took days of bombing by the military.

He was a London City Banker, a JW minister, and ended up for many years on the Ciruit. I believe He and his lovely wife Vee are both dead now.

So, America, all best wishes but you are not the only ones who have suffered... may I whisper UNION CARBIDE... Bhopal??

Holy Spirit and Governing Body voting

how in the world can a religious organization that claims to be god's true channel on earth and led my his holy spirit have a majority of it's gb members vote yes on something, but it not pass because 2/3's didn't vote yes?

why would these supposely "spirit annointed" leaders of the "only true religion" not all be lead by holy spirit to pass an important mandate or change?

in coc ray franz talks of jw life affecting voting not passing because although it was a majority, it wasn't 2/3's or a gb member was gone during the vote.

Looks as if the modern JW organisational structure is a PLUTOCRACY to me.

Wealth, DEFINITELY, influences corporate thinking. The lowly are taken to task by the book of man made rules whilst the wealthy and noted can skirt as "close to the wind" as possible without censor.

If this was a THEOCRATIC organisation they would leave all but the Biblical commands to the trained Christian conscience.. and put up with one another in love.

Sadly, the Marketing buffs still rule, those vessels of unrighteousness.. that deserve a place in our lives...... to p**s in!

My U.S. ex-bros and sis... Maybe that is why UK and Canadian JW's stay loyal longer...

They understand the principles of Monarchy and Kingdom, Parliament, Lords (and ladies), constituencies and Members of Parliament much better.

It is simple to understand the "Kingdom" arrangement, we were always taught. A Monarch subject to God, with appointed lords (and ladies), in a house representing constituents. In the UK 627 (? sic.) elected MP's to represent 60million citizens, in the Kingdom of God something similar with 144,000 representing about 20-25 billion known human beings that have walked or lived on this planet.

All the pageantry that has evolved in the UK is not unlike the unfolding of the Judeo-Christian Congregation.

A Monarchy depends on loyalty to survive.. it can be corrupted by Pretenders to the throne. The Christian congregation is no different.

The dissenters and agitators eventually get sent to the Tower! (read into that what you like [LOL])

Simple.

Watch that space for the new youth of Royalty in the UK.. if Harry somehow pips William to the throne.... We are gonna party BIG TIME (for once)

This is a really interesting demonstaration of the spectrum of love and hate the world has toward Our Royal Family.

The Organisation all of us have left operates on exactly the same principle.. as does practically every "closed" order of the Churches.

The young Princes know this and know they are privilege because of the love that their caring mother instilled into them.

Elizabeth enjoys the view from her room at Highgrove, especially in the Spring when the tulips line the path to the garden gate. Charles escapes civic duty by Helicopter at the weekend, dons his wellingtons and digs for England in his own vegetable patch, no doubt to forget the duties of "The Firm", and paints the scene from the Garden gate of the view over the steeple of Tetbury church and sells the paintings in the shop at Highgrove.

Elizabeth had charity mugs made and other memorabilia and opened their Ancestral Home to raise money to rebuilt the burnt wing of Windsor Castle.. to avoid stretching the Public purse.

William may well inherit the crown because Elizabeth has fought hard for her and the Principles of the Church of England to defend the right of marriage and is well aware of the schism in the Church of England that is bound to breach if an adulterer becomes our future King and the "Head" of the Church in England. What principles you ask? There is more behind the scenes than you could know.

And what of Charles' private bungalow and memorial to his beloved (first) wife Diana? The only building in the estate you cannot enter in respect of his private space and privacy?? I see no angst in the eyes of the princes over the tragic loss of our mother.. for their sakes is speculation over her demise justified?

The family is a road show, to make Merry ol' England the tourist photo shoot that it is... it is old, it is history... IT is dead.

All we have left is Queen Elton, and a Candle in the wind.. to remind us of past glories and the day that we had.

Enjoy your photo shoot Lady Lee.. I for one, am proud of you lady, so please ignore the ignorance of your Republican compatriots who have their view of British life straight up their a**es!

Read what you will into that Simon, and when your head is out of your backside, get the facts straight before you start slating what you do not know.
