due to time constraints, i was only able to catch a small portion of the program.

My thoughts on this are pretty much in line with yours. Because I didn't get to watch most of the program I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this particular theory and could shed some light on where these two scientists were coming from. I'm always interested in new ideas.

3. Do we spend pioneer time in front of the TV or computer, and token time in service? Psalms 119:37, "Make my eyes pass on from seeing what is worthless."
4. Jesus is countless billions of years old and one day we will be as old as Jesus is now, and he'll only be twice our age.
5. The Bible is inspired of the Sovereign of the Universe. It's a masterpiece, give it careful attention.
6. The reasons some give for not being at the meetings is the very reason why they need to be there.
7. Too busy because of the high cost of living, or living high. You can' put enough money in the bank to get through Armageddon.
8. A couple of young brothers are going to a movie. When asked if it has bad language, they reply, "yes, but we hear it all the time in school." Do we want to pay to hear more? It should hurt our ears.
9. Every meeting is a holy, sacred occasion. Never be absent by choice.
10. Some are slowly losing the sense of urgency. We are in the heart and heat of a universal emergency. All in heaven have their attention focused on earth and what we are doing.
11. If we had the cure for cancer we would tell everyone. We DO have the cure for cancer, AIDS, and even death. People desperately need to hear. Our ministry is an extension of God's love. When you talk with someone they are face to face with a representative of Jehovah God.

Thanks for responding.
These scientists gave me the impression that there was no convergence of the evolutionary paths at any time. I reserve a small bit of skepticism for that viewpoint, but due to the fact I was not able to watch the whole program I undoubtedly missed a lot of information that might have made their viewpoint more valid...

Recently, I saw something on a PBS station that was dealing with the subject of evolution. Due to time constraints, I was only able to catch a small portion of the program. There were two scientists working on a theory that man and chimps - even though very close genetically - could have evolved over totally separate paths. I was not able to watch the whole episode and didn't catch the names of these scientists. I would really like to know more about their work.
Have you read any material that deals with this particular theory?
I would appreciate any information you or any others on this DB might have in this regard.

The Israelis are fighting for their very existence.
This homeland was carved from part of their traditional homeland where, despite what Arab propoganda would have you beleive, there has ALWAYS been a Jewish presence.
Why not blame the so called Palestinians for calling for the irradication of the State of Israel; why not blame them for the constant suicide bombing in Israel
That's how I view the Arab-Israeli conflict. While "peace talks" have been going on and off for years, Israelis have continued to expand their settlements, despite repeated resolutions by the UN year after year to stop the expansion.
That's how I see it.

What's MORE interesting just now is when the Middle-East explodes. The idiots in Israel will make the Middle-East the problem the US fears most - I'm pretty certain about that. And what then?The need of two new "small nuclear bombs" placed in Israel seems to be a solution, and you seem to accept those weapons as acceptable...
One thing that really amazes me is how the western world - particularly North America and the Brits - refuse to admit at least publicly the connection between Sept. 11 and the Arab-Isreali conflict.
From the first few hours following the attacks on NYC and the Pentagon, the whole thing was characterized as an attack on our freedom, way of life, etc. BULLSHIT!!!
No one wants to admit - the Israelis especially - that supporting Israeli actions and policy regarding the Palestinians is the main REASON that these horrible attacks took place. The U.S. led coalition can bomb the crap out of Afghanistan or any other country for the next hundred years, but if they keep supporting Israel in their battles against the Palestinians, the terrorist activities against western nations and their interests will not cease.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!! Your friendship with Israel is really starting to cost you. Let them fight their own battles. Do you really think that if the shoe was on the other foot that Israel would be helping out the Americans? They'd say SORRY, we're not going to put ourselves in great peril by involving OURSELVES in YOUR struggles...
