i am hourly.
what are the pros and cons of hourly or salary?.
I have been averageing 20 hours per week overtime paid to me at 1 and 1/2 times regular pay. When I work stat holidays I get paid for the day plus 1 1/2 pay which works out to double time and half.
Plus I get paid for February 29th every 4 years.
If I was to convert to salary it would have to make up for the extras I do somehow.

Mrs hoser has been on a couple of "bethel tours" with a JW travel agency. She said it is not worth the hassle and the price they charge.
jws say they can go anywhere in the world and they " know" that they would be shown hospitality from their fellow brothers.
of all my years as a jw i found this wasn't the case.
i honestly believe that if i turned up at any of my fellow apostates on here house and said hi i'm chook can we have a coffee, the response would be how many sugars..
Other clubs and religions say the same thing about extending hospitality to their members.

There was recently a wildfire in our area where the Kingdom Hall was damaged. They solicited the local congregations for donations and free labour to fix the hall.

ok so i have a question.
i was a very, very true believer until i saw the child molesters in my hall and how that whole thing was handled.. my husband is older than i am and had been an elder for 12 when we married.
so fast forward to 06, we are in a hall where i thought all the elders were ok at the worst and great at the best.
The elder in question is a bully. A worthless piece of s#%t.
We had an "elder" like that in one congregation we were in. My wife said something in passing about no one at the service arrangement one time.
This guy took it as a personal threat/insult to his wife and himself.
He hauled us into the back room and reamed the shit out of both of us.
This guy is a circuit overseer now.
To answer your question lits. You are not crazy. This cult is crazy and sick. It rewards abusive individuals by enabling and promoting them.
i was watching a jw video where the announcement was made of a young lady's being disfellowshiped, and it happened in a regular kh sunday meeting.
this struck me as being a bit...cold.
is this when the shunning begins?
A friend of mine was reinstated a few years back in a different congregation from where she was dfd. The announcement in our hall was two weeks before her current congregation because they had a circuit assembly and then the circus overseers visit so no announcement if reinstatement could be made.

while reading the magazines the other day it occurred to me that jws never really had a very good answer to that question.
because it was aimed at young people and it said something along the lines, "if you believe in god you have a purpose, but if you don't believe in god your life has no purpose or meaning".
i think that is a faulty analysis of the situation.
