Mrs hoser and I attended our old congregation this past weekend. It is actually made up of 3 amalgamated congregations. We were talking about it on the drive home and came to the conclusion that in 10 to 15 years 3/4 of the publishers will be in old folks homes or dead.

What was the retirement plans you heard brothers talk about if any
by JimmyYoung ini know some would not think about retirement.
i had one brother who would pioneer as he could afford and when he paid off his home he was about to collect social security.
he made enough that his plan was to work two to three days a week and pioneer the rest of the week.

They are Still preaching against careers!

it seems the religion is still knocking full time jobs/careers and saving for retirement.. you would think at this point in time - after thousands of bethelites were sent home; many thousands of rank & file jws are at or near retirement age with no preparation - that the religion would change its tune, but no.
they are still stubbornly sticking to their guns on this issue.. iām sorry for any young jws who listen to this.. iām just glad i never followed their advice and certainly would not want to be in any congregation surrounded by these desperate people!.

Why do they preach against careers? Self preservation. If every jw got busy living their lives the organization would definitely collapse. The leaders would be out of a job.
In the past they needed to sell books to maintain their position. Now they need to flip real estate.

Electric vehicles are definitely the way forward, but I personally think Elon Musk is a dreamer. Gm and Fordās electric trucks are projected to come out in 2021. Why would I send Musk a check sight unseen for a pickup truck when I can go to my local General Motors dealer take one home after a test drive.

Another High School Shooting ... Santa Clara California
by RubaDub inat least at the moment it looks like no one is dead, but 6 injured (9:00 am pacific time 14 nov 2019).. i don't know if the school allows students to carry weapons, but many will think it would be a good idea for the students to carry concealed weapons to provide personal protection.. we shall see.. rub a dub.

Hotels Deny Watchtower Discount Rates For 2020 Regional Conventions

letters are being read in surrounding circuits and congregations.
apparently wt is afraid that other hotels are going to blackball them as well.. has anyone else heard this?

Maybe Hotel managers dont want the bad press of having organizations that conceal acts of pedophilia within their organization at the cost of individual victims this being children ?
Or they donāt want the liability if child abuse occurs in one of their rooms.

The city where I live used to hold regional conventions. The jay dubs blame it on the ābad managerā at the local hockey arena. I blame it on the extreme negotiating done by the watchtower.

this happened several years ago.
she now returned to the fold with her newly converted man.
