Calgary seems to get hit hard with COVID. I’m in a very rural area and feel lucky that we didn’t have to be around a lot of people.
One of the people that died of COVID was overweight and had underlying health conditions. It is not a fun way to go

That newspaper is BS. Covid is real. People I know have died.
That being said jurisdictions need to move on from the lockdowns. There is a decent vaccine uptake and the serology tests prove that the contact tracing and isolation regulations were ineffective anyway. Contact tracing only caught 1 in 4 cases of covid. That means 3/4 of covid cases went undetected. So either people hid their symptoms, had no or mild symptoms or had covid 19 prior to March 2020 when covid became flavour of the month for the mainstream media.
The province of Alberta has realized that there is no link between the number of infections and hospitalizations. They have been wasting precious resources trying to track down covid cases while at the same time babies are dying of preventable causes, cancer patients have missed their timely treatments and people are dying of drug overdoses and suicides. It’s time to move on.

so i was listing to the news and in the infrastructure bill there is a part that will tax you on how many miles you drive.
this is above the state and federal gas tax.
so now they will control and monitor your millage and tax you on it.
Someone has to pay for the roads. My issue with pay by the mile is how do they enforce it if people don’t want to play the game? There will always be some hack to override the odometer and where I drive is none of big brothers business.

i remember that i once saw a wt book (or maybe a booklet) which in depicting one or two of the creative days of genesis had illustrations depicting now extinct prehistoric animals.
which publication was that?
