The Date for the Memorial is WRONG this year!

an interesting video was on youtube with a person claiming that the memorial date for 2024 was wrong.

so i consulted three different jewish calendars online and sure enough, he appears to be right.

i went back to 2014 and forward to 2027. they have the future dates listed.

March 24 is close to Easter so it’s good enough. Jehovah’s witnesses take the organization at its word and don’t do their own research.
No one will notice it’s almost a month too early.

once in a while i see them doing their cart work and my still in relatives talk about going out in cart work, never mention door to door.

i haven't had a knock on my door since probably 2 years before covid.

He may have been led to think he has a lot of power but he has no authority to make autonomous decisions.
That being said as the president of a corporation he holds personal responsibility and liability and will suffer monetary and criminal repercussions for illegal activities or lawsuits against the corporation.
He’s being used as a patsy for the governing body.

magazine is to be issued just once a month from january 2006, now is an apt time for interested parties to share brief memories and/or impressions about the bi-monthly awake!

magazines, whether poignant, hard-hitting or humorous.

The internet has changed the information that is available to us a million times making any printed material obsolete.
What was printed in the awake was a joke anyway. Dumbed down grade 5 level “why pears are pears and apples are apples” kind of articles that have no useful purpose in any normal human beings life.
One of the overlooked reasons why university and trade school will help you in life are the people you meet and the lifelong network they provide in your career.
You can’t get that from reading fire starter.

The main purpose of these campaigns is to keep current Jehovah’s witnesses in. If a new convert is found it is a bonus.
In a “worldly “ corporation it is called a team building activity.
It creates a bond between otherwise strangers and keeps them all in “the truth”

One thing I noticed is that when you are appointed as a ministerial servant your records of reproof and reinstatement are shredded earlier than if you are not appointed. Sorry sisters, you have to wait the full three to five years because no matter how spiritual you are you don’t have the correct body parts.
Also they keep records of whether or not the body of elders has determined you are scripturally free to remarry for as long as you are in the congregation. Again, sucks to suck if the elders don’t like you.
If you are disfellowshipped they keep the record for 20 years.
Now I know why the borg goes to great lengths to keep ex and current members from retrieving their records.

If the borgs survival is dependent on their tax breaks they have a lot less money than we think they do and they are way less competitive than a worldly for profit company.
I don’t think it’s the tax break on donations from publishers that is the problem. It’s the property tax on all their real estate holdings that would break them.
However worldly companies can buy, rent out, and hold buildings and sell at a profit when the opportunity arises without the free labour that watchtower gets.
Maybe the free labour isn’t so free and they should just start running their cult like an actual business.
