  here is an email that my grandmother sent me yesterday.. .

  shawn, it's very difficult & sad to come to this decision, but because of your attitude towards the truth & us personally (thinking that we are stupid) we're going to treat you as a disfellowshipped person from now on.

  actually, you're worse than them because usually they know they have not kept their oath to jehovah & don't speak abusively of the organization and don't turn apostate.

  "I work for her in our family business "she owns the company", it is what pays our bills."

  I hate to break this to you, but I won't mince words. It is not "our family business" it is hers and if she is like she sounds she could put in a real tough place.

  You can take this piece of advice or leave it. You are working for your grandparents, building their business so that they can disinherit you because you differ in religious opinion? What is the succession plan for the business? Who takes over management when they are too old or pass away? Are these ones JW's as well?

  I would run.

  I've seen this same scenario too many times for my comfort. Son, daughter grandkids work in the "family business" in good faith assuming that something will come their way for their efforts. Then wham! The rug is pulled out from under them and they have wasted the prime of their life for someone else. Just something to think about.

  Can a competitor give you employment or can you relocate? Can you upgrade your skills/ change careers. You do have options.

  Oh the control games some people play! So imagine if you did recant and go on your hands and knees begging the congregation for forgiveness and they accepted you back.

  So now gramma and gramps gonna put you back in the will? No! They just might find some more hoops for you to jump through. How come your not pioneering, a ms or elder bla bla bla.

  It might never end and at inheritance day when the will is finally read and it reads 100% to the watchtower society, just how pissed off will you be then? I know it happens when the old folks give all to the WT$ and cut out their jehovahs witness children.

  If she thinks that 99.999999999% goes to worthwhile causes just show her that her money will go to pedophile payouts or new spas for the GB. (she probably won't believe you anyway)

  If you are young enough there are still opportunities to build your own wealth. University, bust your ass working overtime and socking away money for your old age but I believe that you are on your own my friend just like the rest of us.

  Would be nice to have new study books.....bible teach is feeling old and God's Love is just plain controling and culty

  we need a new reasoning book and organized book. these both contain old light. I guess the GB wants to get their story straight before they fire up those presses again

  The watchtower will put some positive spin on this but in reality I think it is because they can't afford to give away books anymore.

  Please what are examples you had 'in the real world...able to use it in solving some everyday problems'?

  engineering custom built equipment for a company I work for. I only have high school, as every good dub does. It helps when I tell the fabricator/welder to make something a certain size it will work the first try.

  takes the guess work and trial and error out of the equation.
