  360 days x 2520 years = 907,200 days.

  365.25 days x 2520 years = 920,430 days.

  920,430 days - 907,200 days = 13,230 days in difference .

  The year 1914 was first calculated by measuring the inches inside of a pyramid in Egypt. It was from an inner chamber to somewhere else. The original calculation showed the year 1874 as being the end. When this failed they had to change the length of an inch to "pyramid inches" to come to 1914.

  After chuckie russel died the corporation had to distance itself from the quackery of pyramidology. They adopted the 2520 days equals a year quackery to support their 1914 doctrine.

  as for calculating leap years and prophetic years verses calander years mumbo jumbo it really doesn't matter because Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 not 607 bce.

  To compound the problem is the fact that the generation of 1914 was not supposed to pass away is that they are all pretty much dead now. So now they have to make up a bullshit definition of generation to try to keep 1914 relevant to the religion.

  as far as I am concerned the leaders of this religion have been bullshitting the members for the last 150 years and will do so for another 150 years as long as the gullible buy into it. It really doesn't matter to me anymore as long as I can keep my family intact and save enough money for my old age.

  we can use the memorial season as an opportunity to look through our wardrobe, our movie and music collections, perhaps even the material stored on our computers, smartphones, and tablets.if i were going to a place where jesus would be present, would i feel uncomfortable wearing this clothing?if i did wear it, would it be obvious to all that i am a follower of christ jesus?would jesus be entertained by watching this movie or by listening to this music?

  if he borrowed my cell phone or tablet, would i be embarrassed by what he saw there?as you consider the subject matter of a video game, ask yourself: would i find it difficult to explain to jesus why i enjoy playing it?

  How did you feel on Christmas as a JW child?

  I felt like crap at Christmas time especially when we returned to school after the holidays. Other kids got Star Wars toys and I often got asked "what did you get for Christmas" and I felt embarrassed.

  when i was first introduced to the "truth", i was so distracted by the love and affection that the members were showing me that i was ready to convert into the religion without thinking twice.

  i was conviced that jws were god's people (i still think some of them are).

  i made it my goal to get baptized as i wanted to be part of the "only" religion that produce such good people.

  There most certainly is a pecking order in the congregation. If you care about such things life will be hard for you.

  Why invest in relationships that offer no return or negative returns? When I used to try to please people in the congregation I got shat on. Hang around with assholes and eventually you'll get shit on.

  mrs hoser and I don't give a rats ass anymore about the social stratification that goes on in the hall and the world in general. It is a lonely path to walk down but at least we miss out on most of the drama that goes on.

  We have few friends but the ones we have don't laugh at or criticize us. If they did they wouldn't be our friends.

  for in-stance, two children, five and seven years old, sent their pocket money to help build our new bethel instead of going to the circus, writing, "this is much better than that!

  Literature being discontinued, including Isaiah's Prophecy and Reasoning book

  congregations get an annual letter that tells what can be ordered for literature (it's mainly a list of audio cds/dvds for the deaf), but this time it included publications that will be discontinued, and this included the isaiah's prophecy book and the reasoning book, and i think i saw the draw close to jehovah book.

  i meant to take a picture of the letter but forgot.

  the branch is only going to give what they have on stock, when that stock depletes that's it, you won't be able to order those publications anymore.. this is in canada so i don't know if this is worldwide..

  The reasoning book has been obsolete for the last 20 years!

  It explains the generation teaching as the generation that saw 1914 will not pass away.

  Seeking advise on going to college/university

  here is the current situation of an acquaintance of mine.. age early 40s.

  currently lost her good paying job.. managed to find another reasonably quickly.

  although be it with not good money but with the possibility of been able to take an adult apprenticeship which would increase her pay over time.. she is also looking into going to university in the new year.. here is the question i have bearing in mind the above scenario.

  Congregation average

  a while back at our co visit, he commended the cong.

  because our average hours had gone up.. we went from around 7.3 to about 7.5. i recall the days when anything less than 10 was considered awful.. of course now, they don't even print the hours in the km or anywhere.. i was wondering how these numbers compared to other congregations?.

  I remember too that it used to be the magic number of ten hours per month. Just recently we were commended as a congregation for getting 7 hours a month average
