I haven't read all 8 pages of this thread, but am willing to put my 0.02 worth in...

Disclaimer: I have no idea what they will do, but can speculate like every one else.

The key - I believe - is with the two sentences that appear in the OP's posting...

This time, the Ministerial Servants may not participate.

This means that it is not doctrinal, only 'legal' or something that the elders need to be made aware of. Especially in light of their losing a particular case recently in California. Can anyone figure it out? Buehler? Buehler?

That's right kiddos... the Candice Conti lawsuit has had a bigger affect on them than they will publicly admit - but they will hold a crash course session - 8 hours - to bring elders NOT MSs - up to speed.

That's my thoughts. I know others have also figured this out. ... well, except for the elders who have to go to an 8 hour session later this year.

a couple of weeks ago, my wife and i visited her aunt on saturday.

when we were leaving, i happened to glance down and spotted some 'trash' that had evidently fallen from the door and was down in and among the potted plants that share the porch space.. i instantly knew what it was from the 'look', and reached down and grabbed it as we were walking to our vehicle.. sure enuf, it was a 4-page small pamphlet... some sort of preaching words... (i didn't read them), and then on the back side was a stamped 'invitation' for the person to go to their district assembly the last week in july.. ummm... belton, tx is about 150 miles away from here.

i'm so sure that someone would drive 150 miles to go to something that they just read about on a pamphlet stuck in their door.

As to the DA being in Belton, I went there once - years ago. Well, let me correct that. My ex-wife went there once. My daughter had missed one of the days of the ASS-m-ble that she wuz s'posed to go to, so decided to go to the next one to get to sit thru... well... whatever. So, I decided that I could use a day out, and told them that I would drive them there. I was told a multiple of times that I - too - was welcome to go inside and sit there. I declined. I said that I would be able to find something to do whilst they were at their meeting. Which I did.

Anyway, one question that I have is why are they building those A-Halls - and even have one right here in good ol' San Antone - and then go and pay for one of these places? Seems to me like they could save a TON of money if they had ... like... 2 or even 3 D-Asses and use their own facility. I've been inside the one here in Windcrest, and it's HUGE! It may not be able to hold the same amount of people as the facility in Belton, but I'm sure that they could work that bit out.

I guess it means... maybe they make more money by using the facility in Belton.

But wait a minute... aren't Birthdays always associated with deaths? I think that she is okay then. Let her celebrate MJ's birthday, cause it's in the bible - always associated with deaths. Yuppers... she may have found a loophole in the JW-logic.

I just wonder if she celebrates the kiddo's birthdays, or is she pumping them full of JW-indoctrination that birthdays are bad... let's go now and celebrate MJ's birthday. Talk about mixed-messages. Poor kiddos.

They will waste all that paper and then ask you to only use one paper towl at the convention.

Hmmm... interesting... perhaps one is supposed to collect and keep those nicely provided papers and take them to the assembly to be used for hand-drying, and bottom-shining.

I don't have that pamphlet anymore. I was going to use it to type some of the words onto this message, but my wife mis-understood my snatching it, and thought that I meant to throw it away... which I would've after I read it a bit more.

Oh well. It's better that it got tossed. I usually rip those things in half... then half again... then toss them.

Well, I would think from his 'don't let any fool tell you differently' remark that you could have responded by telling him that the 'fool' that told you differently was none other than the FDS or GB or whatever they're called nowadays in Brooklyn.

we hear that expression all the time from jehovah's witnesses, "wait on jehovah ", the concept is that as he is all-wise he knows better than us when things should be sorted out.. so it is o.k to let the jehovah's witnesses bumble on with false prophecies, false doctrines, for over 130 years, and to let paedophiles have the freedom to hide within and freely carry out their evil deeds and mental torture on innocent children whose lives are then ruined, all because jehovah's witnesses should not:.

"presumptiously run ahead ", ahead of what ?

the 'bus driven by jehovah that never arrives ?.

I may have missed it, but I didn't see anywhere in his statements where he said that they would report the pedophile to the authorities... excuse me... the police (for those who might be terminology impaired.).

Again, I may have missed it, but he seemed to only be quoting from their memos regarding how to handle the pedophiles... internally.

folks!

we need to unite on this one.

all of us know names of elders and others inside the tower who are child molesters in different parts of the world..... now that we have some allied out there in cyberspace i would like us to make the most of it.... everyone who knows names and addresses to pedophiles inside the tower...now is the time to act!

I do not see how this approach can be of any useful assistance. If published, it will be vehemently denied (remember, you need proof, and I'm not talking about some 'two witness rule').

All that will happen is that the JW community will use it as an example of apostates and persecution, etc. making any valid efforts of ex-JWs all that more difficult.

This sounds like some plan by someone who is around 16 years old and has no real-life experience.
