Illustration To Explain "This Generation" Change
by sd-7 ini just had this idea for how a speaker might illustrate the much-discussed 'overlapping generation' doctrine.. "imagine a series of lamps, placed in order from left to right.
as you turn each of them on, what you ultimately have is a set of overlapping lights, that, when combined, form one composite light, so that even if, by some chance, one of the lights gets turned off, you still have the remaining lights which overlap with each other.
in the same way, the current generation of anointed ones have long, faithful records of service to jehovah alongside the past generation of anointed ones who saw the events of 1914. they have served as an overlapping light of spiritual nourishment for jehovah's people in this time of the end.

generation overlap
by cskyjw.sun inin 1914 say an anoited was 14 years old lived up to 80years old in 1980;and then another jw became anoited say at age of 20and lives up to 100 years old, then "this generation" would stretch to1980+80=2060.so the end would extend for another 50 years.

Length of the Israelites' Egyptian Sojourn: An Unsolvable Bible Error
by John Kesler inin exodus 12:40-41, we find this very specific statement:.
40 the time that the israelites had lived in egypt was four hundred and thirty years.
41 at the end of four hundred and thirty years, on that very day, all the companies of yahweh went out from the land of egypt.. the problem is that this is at odds with the genealogy in exodus 6:16-20:.

There is a much deeper spiritual meaning to all of it.
Like?
Parts don't make sense because not meant to be taken literally.
I know. Guessing which parts is the problem.

Jusitia, you don't agree with my analogy and yet reaffirmed my point in your response.
Twisted reasoning from a religion, based on the Bible, Koran, or Talmud, that is used to abuse, threaten or kill people of a different religion or another race, does not deserve to set up shop in the midst of those they hate.
No, her point was that SOME PEOPLE will use twisted reasoning, but that the majority do not. If they don't, like the people trying to build the mosque, then leave them be.
Especially where the followers of a certain religion or group have committed terrible crimes and destruction in our modern day life.
How recent do you define "modern day"?
Most Some followers are may be normal, but in most instances, these religions like Christanity and Islam and groups acts like a magnet for hate mongerers, holier than thou, feelings of superiority, racism, xenophobia, people that are ignorant, hear voices and have imaginary friends, etc. that in the end justify hate crimes and being a turd to the entire world.
Fixed that for you.

Smurfs
by Aussie Oz ini noted on another thread the mention of 'smurfs' and a certain jws dismissiveness of the matter.
which got me to thinking as tonights episode of southpark is about the student councel wanting to kill smurfs..... does anyone remember this one that did the rounds here in my part of oz:.
a child took a stuffed toy smurf to the meeting as a cuddle toy and partway through the meeting the smurf got down from the chair, declared it was tired of listening to this rubbish and walked out of the hall!.

In that case, I do apologize. From what you posted, I took it to mean that you felt that living under the government of the West, was no different than living under an Islamic regime.
No problem. Your gracious apology is accepted.
