There was a disclaimer. And the usual awful overacting.

Today's Drama
by 5thGeneration inwent to the convention today.. don't know if this was posted on but one thing bugged me above and beyond.. it was how the drama interjected modern day theocratic terms.. 'the elders want the brothers to leave jerusalem...'.
'i just got back from preaching and so-and-so wants to start coming to the meetings...' .
really disingenuous.

Factual errors in the literature
by IsaacJ22 ini've been chipping away on a writing project--basically, an essay/web article.
i thought i could ask for some input from the group while also creating an interesting thread.
if it hasn't already been done to death someplace else, that is.. i'm working on a particular point regarding factual errors in the literature.

Just read the first paragraph of the 5 questions on evolution brochure. it's factually dishonest and full of weasel words.

I would like to see Osama Obama destroyed, at least politically, by the American people long before then. He would go from being in a position to seize control of the world to ruling a jail cell.
I wonder what it's like living in you world, one so divorced from reality...

by frigginconfused inwith everthing ive read here it seems like eeveryone has the attitude that they cant fix the wts.
why havent you all joined together and made a declaration of independence?
why not fix it and make a true religion of peace and jesus' message?

The true religion would be based on questions, not answers.
The answer is candied salted bacon.

Instead of going on the attack and saying I was showing hubris, maby you should take the time to figure out what Im trying to say.
Instead of saying how smart you are and you've got this figured out, just say it.
The whole point of this thread is to figure out why there is no true religion and if so how can one be started.
You have had that answered many times. What is "true"? See also "how long is a piece of string"...
We as humans dont do well alone
Some of us do.
There is a real need for a group of people that are organized in searching for the truth just as the WTS founders did.
Says who? What truth?

Islam is behind the bombing and killing of untold numbers of people.
Right on!
Of course, people also used Christianity to promote and justify slavery, murder, genocide, etc. Probably should avoid that religion too.
Damn straight I don't like Islam and don't trust those who follow it. Flame me!
Bingo! Of course, Islamic culture did pretty much invent algebra, most of trigonometry, the scientific method, pharmaceutical sciences, invented many surgical instruments, contributed to new methods of architecture, agriculture, philosophy.....
But hey! Christianity gave us...the dark ages and interesting new ways to kill people.
Or, better yet, kiss me!
Heck, if you're cute I'll make out with you.

The whole earth could have meant "all of this land about us".
But since we don't don't and it entirely and 100% doesn't matter, who cares.
