Oh that is so sad. That's the second child I know of hit by a car while involved in JW activities, needing blood and dying. Seriously, TPTB in New York should hope there is no god, because they are so bloodguilty! This is really a disgusting religion.

I think I have a sub-conscious desire to be D'Fd
by troubled mind inafter fading for four yrs i live like i want ,but big brother is always watching out there .
1 ) fading is not conducive with putting christmas lights on your house when witnesses live in close proximity.
2) putting apostate videos in your favorites on youtube when one of your contacts is still an active witness ,again not a good idea for a fader that still has witness relatives.

She whispered into her ear, "I have a demon"
by dissed insome of you may have remembered me describing my wife's sister having serious mental problems.. its been a source of great discouragement to the entire family because her husband (a devout jw) has refused to get her help.
in fact, blaming it all on the demons, and we being the ones who introduced them, because of our leaving the wt.
well, to everyons surprise on friday, they came to a family dinner, this is very rare.

There was a local news expose here in detroit years ago about a jw who was in fs while he was on the clock making OT. They showed him doing D2D. What made it worse was he worked for the school system which already had like a hundred million $ deficit.

What Are Your Favorite WT Quotes/Teachings? Most Ridiculous or Hilarious Ones.
by mentallyfree31 inwhen you look back over the 130 year history of wt, what is the most bizzare/ridiculous/hilarious/absurd teaching or quotes that you have found?.
one of the ones i find hilarious is during the beth-sarim affair, rutherford announced that the world was laughing and mocking them because they don't believe the resurrection is going to come to pass when they said it was.
rutherford went on to say in effect "we will show them when people start coming back from the graves"... lol.

When does a Jehovah's Witness graduate?
by miseryloveselders ini live in a city with a few major universities.
last thursday, i got off work, and as i hit the main avenue on my way home, i noticed people with their graduation robes and caps on.
i saw parents ecstatic that their children were now adults, and had accomplished something both they and their parents could be proud of.

Yeah, but when you graduate you have something to show for it. Not just the battle scars and regret.

Haha! I'm good friends with Brother Daniels; Brother Cuervo is pretty awesome too!
Yes it is programming. I can see it so much now when talking to my mom. When I told my mom I was pretty much an atheist, she tried to use the bible to "reason" with me. I'm like, if I don't believe in god, why would you try to use the bible? Makes no sense. I asked her what she would say to someone at the door who is an atheist and did not believe/respect the bible, she had nothing to say.
Are you going to be able to stop going to the KH soon? I can't imagine how awful it must be to have to sit through that crap after you know it's all a lie.

Ynot, I've worked agencies before. That was all I did full time for years. It has it's pros and cons. I was younger when I did agency and did not buy health insurance, so I don't know how the wages work with insurance taken out.
The legal nursing is kind of a matter of who you know, you kind of have to make a name for yourself among the malpractice lawyers before you can name your price. I have long term care background and with the baby boomers aging, and more going into nursing homes soon, I expect malpractice suits to increase. I would like to get a public law and government degree to give myself an edge. The work that I do now, also gives me skills that I could use for that career, so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I refuse to go back for a higher nursing degree. My first choice was never nursing. I do enjoy it, but I would love to practice in a different capacity.
Palmtree- Does it specify what nurses are making that? I would think only CRNAs which is a masters degree- and not just an online type deal. The nurse anesthetist program is quite rigorous, so they do make more. Living in Michigan I have worked with many Canadian nurses (Windsor, mostly) and the reason they came across the bridge everyday was for US wages (USD was worth more then). That kind of wage cannot be the norm in Canada.
