Kneel down before reading the Watchtower
by Mythbuster in*** w64 9/15 p. 574 experiencing jehovah's love ***.
in contrast to the attitude of these elective elders was that of an elderly couple with whom i stayed on the outskirts of richmond, virginia.
the brother went down to get the mail before breakfast, and when we had breakfast he said, "brother riemer, i got a new watchtower this morning, and do you know the first thing that ma and i do when we get that tower?

Lack of Emotions and Originality

I wouldn't say that is true of all JWs. I do know that I have felt that my mom's emotions r/t death have always seemed very cold to me. I don't know if that has something to do with her beliefs or her mental illness.

What do they get out of it?
by noontide ina couple of weeks ago, i was at an event where there were a lot of bunnies running around; playboy bunnies that is (work related).
cute girls i guess, but they all have the same boob jobs, same nose jobs, same tans, and no uniqueness among them (ok...maybe one or two of them really stood out).
most of them literally are reduced, or reduce themselves to t&a.

2010 Circuit Assembly..........Sunday Program nonsense and madness.
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini went to the sunday circuit assembly and came back all riled up with all the nonsense.. the sunday program was on ''safeguarding your spirituality''.
''it is better to remain single and not marry.
that gives you more time for studying and the preaching work.

"Just a false pipedream."
Am I alone in feeling that the GB, and other higher ups, know that there will be no Armageddon, or new order? I think they just keep pushing the R&F into these things being just around the corner. I don't think they really believe in this stuff. It's a game to them. I used to believe that the writers of the WT, and those who wrote the assembly parts were just really naive about real life. I now believe that they couldn't care less about the average JW. That is what makes me so angry.

I actually did know a JW who got a scholarship to Yale. Took it too. When she got there, stopped going to all meetings. She graduated, and is living her life. She is my hero.

That is disgusting. I hate that they are still teaching that crap.
I remember when I was in middle school. We were in some class talking about our plans for the future, everyone else talking about college, etc. Me, big dummy, talking about I'm going to be a housewife and not go to college (like my mother, who turned down college, served where the need was great, etc). A girl in my class got so worked up, almost to tears telling me about all the reasons I just had to go to college. I think about that girl often 20 years later, and I'm like, "I get it Angie, I finally understand."
I wish those still in could see what the WTBS is up to and why they don't want people going to college. I don't think I could have sat through that assembly.

Would You Die

just curious.
i know many people that say they wouldn't die for religion but follow practices that might cause their death.

For religion, and the people in the religion- at one time yes. Country- never.

Most Annoying Things That Happen At JW Meetings
by LittleSister intoday i was remembering how angry i used to get at the meetings and all the little irritations that in the end would just make my blood boil these included:.
prayers that go on foreverstudy or wt conductors still taking comments when its clear that the point has been covered 20 times alreadymeetings over running by more than 5 minsmy favourite was this one elder who would play guess the point i am thinking of.
he would keep rephrasing the question from the wt until someone would bring up the point he was thinking of.

Also the overly long answer, basically "look at me, I'm very knowledgable". Honestly, that person was often my mother.
