Uncleanness = a hard workout at the gym, followed by not taking a shower for the rest of the day. Gross uncleanness = wearing the same clothes as worn at the gym without washing them..
LOL
page 16 paragraph 18. .
"the wrath of god is coming" upon all who unrepentantly engage in such practices.
as fornication, obscene jesting, and "uncleanness of every sort," which would.

i brought this up to debator on another thread... and he/she ignored it... thought the subject deserved its own thread...for anyone who has never read the finished mystery.. .
the watchtower claims that jesus inspected the churches in 1919 and chose the watchtower to represent god on earth, based upon the spiritual food they were dispensing at that time.. .
note:.
I think "the finished mystery" should be moved to the comedy section. If you read it, it is some crazy stuff. It will make you laugh.
-sb-
many ass kissers would put their name down so they could have him over for dinner......"okay now, they can't eat milk products, red meat, white meat, flour, sugar, salt, water...." .
I don't know if they were treated like God, but they sure thought they were God. LOL
But, yeah they were pretty highly esteemed in my former congregation. I used to be all into getting to be their friend and such. Until the last 3 years or so before I woke up. The last one I never even met over two visits. I stayed away from the last couple, as I didn't really want to be asked to accompany them in service.
heard a few rumblings from my jw contacts that there are special public edition watchtower & awakes to coincide with the memorial / easter time 2010. the theme is very much jesus oriented - picture of him on the front cover etc.
publishers will be encouraged to order extra copies for the field.
i don't think there is any memorial invitation distribution planned - this seems to replace that.
A special magazine huh? I'm trying to remember what was in the regular WT's and Awakes. I quit reading them so long ago. I was a ministerial servant, and quit reading that stuff years ago.
LOL
i ask because the number of gb is lower than any time in history.
basically with the 7 (8 counting barr, is his head frozen?
) currently on,you have an average size elder body.
Their internal conflicts make me smile really big. And breathe a sigh of relief that I don't have to worry about any of their bullsh** anymore.
:-)
hey!
i made my intro post this past weekend and briefly mentioned my dilemma.
here is a link in case you are interested or need to refresh your memory.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/199811/1/introduction-warning-its-complicated.
Good point. I remember Ray Franz's second book shows that point about Jesus never using the name Jehovah in prayer, but rather using the expression Father. Ray even tells how many times Jesus uses Father. I can't remember the number.
hey everybody.
i just started karen armstrong's book the bible last week.
i have found it quite interesting.
Thanks for the other suggestions from Karen Armstrong. I will try to check out some of them also in the future.
i, along with many others, received our latest freeminds email.
i was shocked at the following underlined statement.. the second thing they are emphasizing is that those who claim to be of the "anointed" (now that they have admitted the number may not be limited to 144,000) not only have no say into what goes into the watchtower magazine, and have no special knowledge or place in jehovah's organization, so don't look to them for answers.
the governing body is the faithful and discreet slave as far as the jws are to be concerned.
Yeah, I'm very curious about this. We know that the 144,000 will be dropped, or converted to a figurative number, but I didn't know it was already happening..
i just happened to remember this ridiculous jw story that involved the elders/wt rules at my former congregation.
for many years, there was a building immediately next to the kh.
it was a local businessman, and after several years he converted it to a part time church.
I just happened to remember this ridiculous JW story that involved the elders/WT rules at my former congregation. For many years, there was a building immediately next to the KH. It was a local businessman, and after several years he converted it to a part time church. He was a nice older gentlemen, there were never any problems or disagreements between him and the JW's that I can remember.
Over the years, several JW's would regularly park on his property at meetings. We had adequate parking, but sometimes it just happened that certain ones would park on the corner of his property. This went on for years. One day, his church planned a special revival to be held on a Friday night (there are no JW meetings on Fridays). He approached the elders and mentioned that there may be a 8 to 10 cars that he wouldn't have space to accomodate on his small lot. He asked if they could park on the KH parking lot. The elders said no. I was present for this conversation. When the elder got back into the car, he informed he that the elders had received a letter instructing them not to allow such things.
I didn't say anything, but I was furious when I heard this. We had been using his property for years...i repeat YEARS. And he decides to have one revival in 10 years on a night when no JW meetings are held, and they elder tells him no. But what could I say? This was God's organization...made up by the smartest, most loving people on earth?
:-)
LOL
was watching a video on you-tube (i wish i could copy and paste the link, but cant do it in mozilla firefox).
anyways, the video made a really good point about how the wtbts is not only a religious cult but a publishing cult.
the watchtower has released hundreds of books over the past 100 years.
Nowhere in the bible does it say "you have to be a JW, or you will die at Armageddon". So it is necessary to print their own literature that says this in a thousand different ways.
:-)
