You should go do undercover work at the conventions. Vive La Resistance! LOL
jw's can be rotten, but what about the "brutally honest" jw strangers at assemblies?
i have had some issues with the general meaness jw's are to people that they do not even know, and are jw's.. example 1: i was maybe 13 years old and i was a fast developer, i had big boobs basically.
well a dress i had was really nice...my parents would not have let me wear something that was not apprepriate for me, but i guess the dress was low (i didn't think so) and when i was in the bathroom at the assembly at the mirror, a woman just came up to me and was like "you are showing all the assets you have to offer" or something to that effect.
Wow!!

sometimes i feel like i am fighting the world and wonder what i am fighting for...does anyone else ever feel that way?
Mostly I feel gassy.
Oh sorry--no. I don't like to "fight". I don't think life is a battle with winners and losers. While I have passionate emotions about a lot of things, I don't feel like it's me against the world. I dunno--what was the question again?
first off: thanks to prudence for sending me this link:.
http://www.chihuly.com.
i have to admit, over the last few days/past week, there's nothing like a good link to unique and interesting artwork to help you, get 'through' a difficult moment.. mr. chihuly's glasswork, is incredible.. the more and more i would delve deeply into his website, i would become mesmerized by it.. the colours, the craftmanship, and 'chihuly' trademark, were simply 'brilliant'!.
Whatever Ray--this so has been done before--

I love Chihuly! I count myself very lucky to have seen his installations in person---he is amazing! So much texture, so much light and color...it's all breath taking and I totally agree--tranquil and beautiful!
guess this kind of goes with the other thread i started about looking at the inner child that is still hurtingk by posting a pic of us when we where kids.. i found this pic of my parents, my mom was just 15,,,,,my dad barely 18, shortly after , they married soon and i was born when my my was just 16. .
just looking at their faces in this moment in time, in this picture, i can see , that they were just kids too, that they were not ready to face the hardships of starting a family so soon.
i am not making excuses for the things they both did,,,,,,,,,,, they both did many things to hurt me.
Forgiving Our Fathers by Dick Lourie, originally published in a longer version titled Forgiving Our Fathers in a book of poems titled Ghost Radio published by Hanging Loose Press in 1998; used the book, The Lone Ranger & Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven and also used in the movie "Smoke Signals."
How do we forgive our fathers?
Maybe in a dream?
Do we forgive our fathers for leaving us to often?
Or forever, when we were little?
Maybe for scaring us with unexpected rage, or making us nervous
because there never seemed to be any rage there at all?
Do we forgive our fathers for marrying or not marrying our mothers?
or for divorcing or not divorcing our mothers?
And shall we forgive them for their excesses of warmth or coldness?
Shall we forgive them for pushing or leaning, or shutting doors?
for speaking thru walls, or never speaking, or never being silent?
Do we forgive our fathers in our age, or in theirs?
Or in their deaths, saying it to them, or not saying it.
If we forgive our fathers, what is left?
i came across a post here a day or two ago where the poster mentioned they were the spouse of so and so.
so in the interest of board harmonics, (really i'm just a curious / nosy sob) ...... 1. who here is married / partnered with / related to other posters here ?

I am the illegitimate love child of Animal and Valis.

The End
I am tired of people telling me who I am
I am tired of people telling me what I believe
I am tired of people who think they know me
I am tired of people talking behind my back
I am tired of people like you
I am too tired to eat
I am too tired to sleep
I am tired of work
I am tired of school
I am tired of taking care of you
I am tired of pretending like I care
I am too tired to be happy
I am too tired to be angry
I am tired of you not listening
I am tired of you telling me how it is
I am tired of hearing you talk
I am tired of your lies
I am too tired to laugh at the absurdity of it all
I am too tired to try to explain to you the reasons you will fall
I don't care
I don't feel
I don't love
I am numb
I'm too tired to fight you
I'm too tired to care
I just need to sleep
I just need to rest
I just need to be alone
but you can't let it end
I just want to walk away.
I am too tired to try
There is no fight left
You won't believe me
and yet you won't leave me
I am too tired to go on
I am too tired to live
I just wish it was over
...all of it.
most of you know that i have moved back to my old house, and in the process, had lots of boxes to go thru.
i have found so many treasured moments of my life, things like my kids, my family, etc.. for just a couple of hours lately i have been putting alot of my pictures when i was young on my personal file, just because they are the only copies i have of them.. i heard it once said that when you have pain in your past , your childhood, that you should look at that picture of the 8 or 9 year old you once were and enbrace her,, or him.
i have done that, and i can tell you it opens the door to so much healing, so much compassion for yourself, something that you as an adult really need to move on.
okay, here's my personal top 10, in no particular order:
george carlin
robin williams
Lewis Black
Dave Atell
Maria Bamford
Laura Kightlinger
Nick Swardson
Dane Cook
Stephen Lynch
ok so a lot of folks here are into music, and all kinds.. i am always up for hearing new and different artists.
let's face it mainstream radio is not a viable way to find out about new musicians, much less hear anyone with talent.. so i am looking to see what you all are listening to.
anyone under the radar?
Sixy--those are AWESOME!! I love music to sway by. Hee hee!
I love them both, but I think I like the second one better...good stuff...who is it?
Is normonclature the name of the band?
Ok here is my next nomination.
Rasputina. They are not new by any means but they never play their stuff on the radio, I am going to go see them in October. I LOVE THEM!
They are three chicks who play cellos. But before you wrinkle your nose, it's like hard rockin cello. Alternative chamber music if you will. Plus their lead singer Melora Kreager has a very wacky sense of humor, I dig it.

(Thimble Island and The Quitter are my two faves there)
