by Viper76Man ini have been out of the religion for several years now (was rasied in it so have 18 years under my belt).... although i was never shunned.
it seems to me that lots of people have been ignored by members of the jw's after leaving.
i expected this to be the case and expected my family members to begin to keep there distance.

It's weird.
I was never baptized either. Thus in theory they can hang out with me. Some of the hardcore people act all weird around me. They aren't sure what do do with me. Others pretend like nothing has changed. Others put conditions on me. Like we can go out, as long as no one see's us. Etc.
But even those who are nice to me, can't help but mention religion at some point. Either to tell me how great the assembly was, or how much fun they had in field service the previous day. LIARS!
But I TOTALLY understand what they are trying to do. I tried to pull it on my sister all the time: If I make it seem like I am having fun, they will want to come back to the meetings. I have no realized how immature that was of me.
Unlike some here, I don't get mad. As long as they don't get preachy on me, I know they are just doing what they think is right. For the most part they have learned to except the fact I am never coming back no matter how great the newest C.O. is. Can't blame them for trying really--it's their "job" afterall.

don't mention a long spiel, just the one or 2 that seem to be on your wavelength.. i'm interested to know as i'm completing an analytical graph data sheet to show who clicks with who most, in a projected sample forum example, and then hope to present my findings on the net.. ok thats bull, but i was just interested anyway.... scoob

VOTE FOR A CAMPGROUND PLEASE
by pettygrudger insince thunder bay & nova scotia are 36 hours drive time apart, i realize that we aren't all gonna get something within a stone's throw....so i've picked listed 3 different campgrounds (area's) - please vote & whichever gets the most votes will be the one i go with - as they are all within 16 hours of me (and yes it's all about me!.
#1: http://www.lafontaine-ent.on.ca/ - this is in the georgian bay, ontario area (i saw your batchawana bay idea calamity - but the area is the same - we can pick the campground next if this is selected).

Camping Fest - June 2004 - Canada
by pettygrudger inokay guys - planning my summer vacations and i wanna know - can we make this happen or what????.
decent campgrounds fill up pretty quick, so i'd like to look into some.
i know nova scotia & ontario are many moons apart, and there was discussion of 2 separate fests.. if there are 2 separate ones, owens sound area, ontario has some pretty cool campgrounds.. who's in???

Hmm Activites...
I would like to have a tree to sit under.
A cooler filled with adult beverages of my choice. I would like one trail--not too strenuous mind you to amble down and sing at the top of my lungs every song in the Smashing Pumpkins library...
Perhaps some bushes and an amicable apostobrother to hump me in said bushes.
Other than that I am cool...
Honestly--ya just need to pick a date and a place (with showers please!!) and they will come. I am not going to miss a camping fest. I would have prefered it in Ontario to Maine, it's just those three hundred miles closer...but if I must, I must! Just say when...
