  Online love

  do you think it's possible to fall in love with someone online?

  assuming they give you a real picture of themselves and are honest about themselves.. is it possible to love this person before you meet them?

  i'm not talking about the kind of love you share with your friends, i'm talking the real deal.

  I fell in love online once, that was stupid...

  No, it wasn't...I'm just bitter that it didn't work out. And it didn't work out because it was my fault, I wouldn't move to be with him, and he had commitments that made it so he couldn't move to be near me. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I hadn't been such a hardass, but I know for a fact I was in love, and I sometimes am pretty convinced that was the one that got away...

  I think online can even help a relationship, you aren't relying on physical to get in your way, so you can really get to know someone, yeah I know spoken like an ugly chick, but it is kinda true. How many people have we passed over in a club or other situation based just on looks? I know I have--online it's harder to dismiss people.

  But I agree with other posters, it all depends on honesty.

  If you want to read something cool try Paradise Lost, it can be kind of difficult, but it basically casts satan as the good guy, and god is the bad guy who is too sensitive and strict.

  Other stuff to read would be William Blake, The Book of Thel, or Urizen...it's kind of interesting, I think anyway.

  Yea, Verily!!! Nor did you have to read some cock-eyed religious summary by a brain-dead idiot to tell you what it meant, and why you should not like it, how bad it is, and why you need to go door-to-door telling others not to like it.

  I dunno, obviously none of you have had the professors I have, if you don't like it, which I didn't...you're the devil...ok maybe not the devil, but I pissed my prof off just the same...lol

  i know, i know, the jws love to boast about ``honoring jehovah'' and having ``restored the divine name to its rightful place.

  '' but my question is: is such casual off-hand use of the divine name really respectful?

  i mean, the vast majority of us well know the names of our parents; but just how respectful would it be to go around referring to them as ``harry'' and ``alice?".

  Well the Dub's would disagree. They think they are doing him a service by yelling his name at the top of their lungs.

  Actually I do call my parents by their first names, and they hate it and this it disrespectful, but I just tell them they don't call me daughter, so why would I call them mother and father then...I dunno, I'm insane tho...

  most members of jehovah's witnesses will tell you "once a baptized witness always a witness" there is no way out .

  they most likely are referring to the so called knowledge of there "truth" as if the knowledge binds you forever to their rules.
