  Ok so now I am pissed...those who said it shall remain nameless, but suffice to say I ran into some JW's I used to know back when I was one, who basically heard it from so and so who knows an elder that was on the JC that said these girls are just making it all up. It was apparantly all the talk at the convention, and these girls are just out for attention because why else would they have a press conference. I nearly blew a gasket. But of course, I guess it was to be expected--JW's will protect their own at all costs.

  well, i had the pleasure of spending a few hours in little five points, atlanta, arguably the most bohemian neighborhood that we have here.

  always a freak-fest, so probably a good location for the meeting.

  funny anecdote, i was the only one that was there at the meeting time and walked around asking people if they were here for the exjw meetup.

  I have never set out to intentionally offend anyone. I don't overly worry about it either. I am here stating my views just like anyone else, I would hope people would take anything written here with a grain of salt.

  I do sort of worry in that if they are questioning something, and thinking about leaving, that being here and reading some things that people say might lend credence to the anti-apostate rhetoric that the JW's give out. They like people to believe that Apostates are close minded raving loonies. So the people who are here, really looking for answers, and all they get is berated by people who can be down right mean at times, I worry about offending them. BUT ONLY THEM! Not the close minded JW's who are only here to stir up anger, I will roast them any day of the week. That goes for anyone who is just here to make angry noise.

  recently some hassidic jew who stands and rocks like a catatonic shizoprhenic at the wailing wall in jerusalem noticed some water stains up near the top of the wall.

  immeadiately he summised this to be some holy sign of the messiah.

  but the deputy director of public works says that it most likely is a ruptured pipe or drain.

  You totally missed my point which was NO ONE should listen to anyone who has an Agenda, regardless of if it is religious or political (I guess I need to add now). But thank you for illustrating a perfect example of only focusing on one thing and not dealing with a post as whole. I love it when people get all fanatical over a fine point and miss the grander picture.

  for reasons, but one of the reasons is because, we gonna wait till the next life(isaiah 65:17/new paradise earth), another reason is cause, we knoweth that the messiah will come back in our life time..... now that's hella strong faith, we have faith that the final destruction/peace & safety/armageddon will happen in our life time.... so we waiting!

  You would think Dub's would try to stop this kind of thinking...I mean most of their followers are born-in-to-it's...so if people stop making babies they are really going to be in a bind for followers. They also might want to adopt a catholic stance and tell them that birth control is the invention of the Devil...just to keep those number up there.

  Frankly I am glad to hear some people have decided not to procreate. I wish more people would make that choice...
