i've uploaded a new blog article that addresses the latest dvd release at the current district convention, namely "become jehovah's friend!
" - the tale of young caleb and his brush with divine wrath over a plastic toy wizard.
a link to the article, which includes the youtube samples of the production, is below:.
Loaded with fear, they obviously feel the need to start early.
Let's hope this video wakes a few up, It certainly made me feel sick to my stomach.
Peace
my fave was roy renouf - district overseer.
always had time for me and seemed to keep thigs real.. heard that on a zone vist he told the governing body the branch was told old and grumpy or something like that!.
worst was michael purbrick.
I think Ted was Jim's brother. They looked very similar too.
To be a CO/DO you had to be special.......but not in a good way.

@ Loz I think it's Don Holly you're refering to, really nice bloke, and Celia was lovely. He never came across as an elder lover, which is unusual for a CO.
Roddy Holyoak, total knob, snotty nosed wife.
Terry Armstrong, a little pit bull but we got on alright with him, I think because we had a load of info that he wanted lol.
Jim Buckingham was an elder lover so didn't rate him. He was soooo boring!!!!
Once you start you could go on and on, it's just the flash backs really are'nt worth it.
Ooohhhh just remembered another....Bob Auldry stood in for one visit in the eighties and I really liked him, good speaker, didn't nod off once.
Peace
has everyone heard of him, robert king?.
i occasionally have a look on his site, at times when im not sure what i believe.
i'm sliding towards atheism but i'm not completely sure either way.. the more reading i do of things of a scientific nature, the more i edge towards no god, but i like to analyse both sides of an idea.. anyway, whenever i read anything on kings website, it just seems he is a bit of doomsday cultist himself, i mean he has all these links to conspiracy sites, and all manner of negative scary articles about nuclear war and famine etc.
I was on there for a while but it was way too dubby for me. Also too many preachers
to the body of elders in xxxxx.. .
i no longer wish to recognised as one of the jehovah's witnesses due to the fact that i no longer believe that this 'organisation' is truly representing him because :.
i have experienced greater and unconditional love/friendship with the people i am supposed to hate 'worldly people' than i did in this congregation.
Why write a letter to people who have no power or authority over you. You're free now so just walk away to your new life.

my computer-support service has checked my computer because it's been rather "glitchy" lately, and the hard drive is failing.... so, i'll end up being cut-off from the board, for a while.... some of you have my personal phone number, if you need to get in touch.... **********************************************************************.
here's something else that's been bothering me.... we're going to fly out to see the in-laws soon - and i'm very uneasy about flying.... if something should happen to me, could you people please help find good homes for my animals???
they are all indoors animals, have been spayed/neutered, and are pretty good with dogs.... there are six cats - the seventh one, minx, will have to be "put down", as she is slowly dying of feline leukemia, and is far too "high-maintenance" for anyone else to care for.... but there's chomper - a neutered male, six-toed cat, somewhat feral but ferociously loyal to anyone who will be patient with him - and feed him wet food... he's a big, short-haired grey-and-black tabby... unfortunately, in the process of the hard-drive decay, my computer no longer recognizes my crappy printer, and so i can't load a pix of chomper... but he's a big cutie!!.
I was scared of flying until I realised that flying wasn't the problem but crashing was....... I've flown loads but never crashed so I stopped being scared. Enjoy your visit, see you when you get back. Add: fur babies are yummy.xx Peace xx
have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?
its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?
Are they not aware that an abuser always tells their spouse that ' oh if only you kept your mouth shut, had my meal on the table when I came in from work, did as you were told, didn't look at me like that...... I wouldn't have hit you.' The whole article is sick, pity I won't be attending the meeting when this vomit is served up........ I'd give 'em what for. My daughter left her husband because of violence and is now fighting him in family court to prevent him getting access. Hugs to all those that have suffered because of abusers ((((((()))))))) May peace be yours xx
